I received my third the other day! (FYI, the link is my personal referral link so if you use it, there is no extra fee to you, but it gives me a little credit)
After sharing my first experience with Stitch Fix and brushing over my second, I heard that you guys liked it, so I’m sharing this one as well.
First of all, can I say that nothing gets me more excited than seeing this package show up at my door? In fact, I waited until Hailey was down for a nap so I could savor it.
5 pieces of clothing, picked out for me and ready to try on! I never look at the prices before trying them on, so I don’t let them sway my opinions. I quickly grabbed the dress, which looked super cute laying on my bed.
Mystree
Florence Cocktail Dress
$68
However, on me, not so cute. It was a little long for my short stature and the shape did nothing for my figure. Comfortable, yes. But it quickly went in the no pile.
Next up was the red shirt. I promise it’s red despite my terrible closet-picture.
Daniel Rainn
Bryson Crochet Detail Cinch-Waist Top
$78
Ohhhh… this one I liked. The detail up top is cuter than the picture shows. It’s comfortable, I could wear a regular bra, and the bright color drew me in. Perhaps not the most flattering for my shape, but I was hooked! Yes pile.
Very J
Sutro Hi-Lo Short Sleeve Sweater
$48
Option3 was so close to being a keeper. I like the casual look, the stripes and the material. However, the layered style might be a little too hot for a Carolina summer and the longer hem in the back covered up my best asset.
Hardy har har, but it WAS too long.
On to option 4.
Mak
Jaclynn 3/4 Sleeve Button-Up Cardigan
$38
I know, I know, you can wear a cardigan OPEN, but the pulling just did not sit right with me. So unflattering. Nope.
Skies Are Blue
Jayda Dot Cuffed Chambray Top
$58
The last piece, a denim shirt, was really cute. I loved the polka dots on the inside and know people that could ROCK this shirt. Unfortunately I’m not one of them. I couldn’t picture what I’d wear it with from my closet and I’m staying away from long sleeves as the temperatures rise. No pile.
I only ended up keeping the red shirt, which will definitely be making its debut on next week’s FOX News Rising segment. However, the addiction remains strong and I already ordered another fix, due to arrive in a few weeks.
What is your FAVORITE piece of clothing for summer?
I’m a big fan of my jean shorts (though I’m not a gator fan #GoDawgs) from Old Navy and dresses from Anthropologie. Talk about two ends of the price spectrum…
Carolyn @ LifeWithLyn says
Thanks so much for posting the prices of these along with your review. I’ve always wondered if StitchFix was actually affordable.

It’s so funny that you got that blue dress. I work at a clothing store and we used to have it in stock and I can say from experience that it only looks good on people 5’7″ or over with no hips. Too bad, because it is cute.

Agree with the yes. Looks great on you. Also agree with the nos. For what it’s worth.

That denim shirt really is cute though…Love those polka dots too 🙂

You say you have no style, but I beg to differ! Case in point: I love your shoes! I notices them in your Boston recaps and think they are so cute.
I’d love to hear more about how your weekly tv appearances are going!
Ashley @ My Food N Fitness Diaries says
Oh I LOVE the red top too! And that denim polka dot top is cute. I could see it with some white skinny crops!
My favorite thing for summer is sundresses and casual skirts with a tank. Comfy, cute, cool = perfect for summer.

The red top is very you! I love when they nail it sometimes! I think the polka dot button up is cute and you could pair it with some neon shorts 🙂 I’m currently looking for an Anthro dress (did you know they carry a large petite line online?) for a work event coming up and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that something works out.
I miss StitchFix and might give it one more shot (maybe they can send me all dresses?) – I’ve had a few duds with online shopping lately.

So you pay the amount of the items you want to keep and the rest you send back? That one top looked SO good…until you showed be back. What’s with the butt flap on it?! So weird!!
And the title of your posts seriously get me. I’m very unstylish too. I kinda wish they had this ship to Canada…until then, you can call me what I am…brutally dressed!

LOVE the red top! I loved the striped one too and was like “Why doesn’t she like it?” Then, I saw the flap in the back. Haha! Would be cute if it were a normal length all around.
I signed up for Stitch Fix but have to request a box. I am looking forward to it, though. Another great place to shop, if you have one in your area, is Hot Mama. Cheesy name, but AWESOME store. They cater to moms. The store has toys, couches and a big restroom with changing tables. They even offered my husband a beer! It was a great experience and I felt like I finally had some outfits that I loved.

Your title makes me laugh. You are NOT unstylish. My favorite summer item is a romper. God bless a romper.
Danica @ It's Progression says
I just got my first Stitch Fix box in the mail last week. I was honestly a little disappointed in the items and only ended up keeping one thing – but I love that one thing and getting the box on my doorstep was just so fun I signed up for another fix 🙂
Angela @ Happy Fit Mama says
I need something like stitch fix in my life! Clothes shopping for me has become a chore and a bother. Which is really sad since I love clothes! My summer staples are cute dresses and skirts that move!
Sarah says
Darn, too bad most of them didn’t work — but you’re right, the back of that one shirt IS too long, and I think that denim shirt is too big on you! I am starting to get antsy to have this baby and get somewhat back to my normal body so I can treat myself to another Fix.
Liz says
I love to wear crop pants and a denim shirt, or easy tees. They are making those cardigans tight – it’s not you. I had the same problem and bought a larger size. Have a great weekend!
Liz @ iheartvegetables says
That’s such an interesting service! I’m a huge fan of consignment/thrift stores though, and I’m lucky there are some good ones near by! 🙂 My favorite summer outfits are DEFINITELY cool, breezy sundresses!
Tina @ Best Body Fitness says
I love hearing about this. I think we have similar body types too so I can see what works and looks good on us. 😉
PS – Your gator comment made me chuckle. Them gators and their jorts.

I got the colorblock dress AND the chambray shirt in my last fix! I ended up keeping both of them. Loooooove Stitch Fix!
