Hello and happy Monday! Usually I start the week as a ball of focused energy but I’m feeling a bit discombobulated as I am trying to organize my thoughts on what needs to be done when this week. What better way to give structure to my day than do just write it on the internet, right?
First though, a quick weekend recap. It was so nice having a chill weekend at home. On Friday we grabbed dinner on the patio at Bad Daddy’s with Finley, then headed to the boat for her first ever boat ride. We boated to an island, did some swimming, and just cruised for a bit. I don’t know who loved it more- Finley or the kids having Finley on the boat. Huge success!
Saturday I went for a long walk with the dog (while David’s ankle is heading in the right direction, it’s not ready for our daily workouts yet). David finished the living room shelves and I am OBSESSED (and yes that word is overused, but I’m obsessed) with them. They warm up our space, are incredibly well constructed, and I can not wait to fill them up with fall and Christmas decor.
We ran some errands like Hobby Lobby because the girls are busy sewing Christmas presents for family and needed more fabric (yes, they have 4 presents checked off and it’s only July… I need to follow their lead), then came home, grilled out chicken, made ice cream sundaes and all snuggled up to watch the final Harry Potter movie. We’re so excited to have fully completed the series and the movies and are giddy to experience the magic of The Wizarding World soon.
That brings us to today. On the agenda:
- Lesson 11 of Gather Round Space + math lessons
- Finish typing out Disney pack list (clothes, medicine, snacks, etc)
- Wash and lay out all kid outfits to pack
- Put hold on mail
- Respond to emails
- Begin working on upcoming blog posts and newsletter
- Make a reel for the Greek burgers I made last week
- Figure out if we can pick up Universal Tickets at kiosk the day prior (anyone know?)
- Work out (probably just a long walk with Finley)
Something about writing it all down makes it feel more manageable. I made stuffed shells and enchiladas last week and am pulling out the second pan those recipes make for some dinners this week, so that’s nice to have ready to go. Ok, time to finish this last swig of coffee, feed the pup, and get going on the list. I hope your week is off to a great start! Are you a brain dump to do list fan, too?! What’s on your list today?
Kelli says
I love lists too. Luckily not much on my list today except do laundry (3 loads), clean some bathrooms, and get on the peloton.
The shelves look great!

I think the universal tickets are mobile/printable!! I bought them on the website for the specific days!

Do you remember if you had to select “print at home” delivery option? Our Disney planner purchased ours for us and though she sent us the confirmations, I don’t see any PDF attachment or other print option.

You are so well organized!
What type of snacks are you packing?
Brittany Dixon says
Beef jerky, almond butter individual packs, dried fruit, mini yogurt smoothies, and possibly a loaf of bread with peanut butter and jelly 🙂

We picked up our Universal tickets from the booth in the lobby of our hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, the evening prior.
Brittany Dixon says
That is an on-site hotel right? We are not staying on site but I wonder if we stop by the night before if we could get ours as well?
Julie says
We’re going to Disney World at the end of August! Would you consider sharing your packing list?
Brittany Dixon says
Absolutely I will! This is the best I’ve ever packed for a trip. It’s worked out really well!
