Ok y’all, this might be a little silly… but honestly, sometimes silly is exactly what we need.

With warm weather around the corner (or long weekends, or carpool lines that feel never-ending), I’m always looking for easy ways to connect with my girls. One of our favorite low-effort, high-reward dinner conversation starters is a good old-fashioned game of Would You Rather.

Even the most eye-rolling, mildly dramatic tween eventually comes around when a question is funny enough. Hailey and Kaitlyn (now 14 and 11… how did that happen?) are wildly imaginative when it comes to making up their own questions. Unfortunately, it often turns into “fun would you rather eat only worms or drink pickle juice?” and spirals quickly from there.

So I like to keep a stash of ready-to-go questions that are silly, creative, a little gross (because let’s be honest, they love that), and occasionally even thoughtful.

If you’re unfamiliar, Would You Rather is simple: present two options and make them choose. No “both,” no “neither.” Just pick. The magic is in the debates that follow.
