This morning, instead of waking up to K-dizzle softly whining beside the bed for me to get up and start the day, I woke up to the lovely sound of gagging. The poor lil pup got sick. I never understand why this happens sometimes. I jumped out of bed to let her outside and went to clean up the mess (gotta love power shot carpet cleaner!!). Luckily it wasn’t too bad. Do you have dogs? Do they sometimes get sick for reasons you don’t know?
Well, I hope you weren’t digging into your breakfast as you just read that! After Koda came back in, she bounced around like her normal self. That dog’s resilience amazes me… So I moved on to my breakfast. I was feeling some Berry Soup!
I started off with a big ‘ol handful of organic mixed berries. Frozen of course, so I popped ’em in the microwave and hit defrost.
then added one of these
and finally, I topped it off with some Yogi for crunch.
Filling, summer-appropriate and of course, sweet ‘n delicious!
Speaking of summer-appropriate, I’m considering chopping my hair of. Tomorrow. I love (love love love) long hair, but it doesn’t look as good on me as I’d like. Basically my husband is sick of hearing me talk about my hair, so I’m reaching out to you for help… my hair is naturally very thick and wavy, and when I don’t have time to dry and straighten it, it helps to have it long so it weighs itself down and I don’t look like a mushroom head. Buuuut I used to get more compliments on it when it was short.
Short (and highlighted)
Long (and natural color) & blurry… sorry!
Ok, now I realllllllly need your help… to cut or not to cut?? I read your blogs, see you pictures and know how cute yall all are, so I trust your advice! 😀 Thanks!

Yall are the BEST! Thank you so much for the feedback on the hair… I’m still a little nervous to cut it (why is cutting hair scary? it seems silly…), but with your encouragement I might just do it! 😀
My appointment ran longer than anticipated, so I had to grab lunch out since I didn’t have time to get home. Panera was the best choice because free wifi (blog friendly!) and I was craving a Greek salad.
It must be the dressing that I love so much, but I’ve never had a bad Greek salad from Panera. I got the ‘You Pick Two’ so I paired the salad with 1/2 a MedVeg (Mediterranean Vegetable) sandwich. The bread they use for this sandwich is so sweet and scrumptious!
The above picture was taken as I was shoving it towards my mouth before it fell apart…. can you tell??
Oh, yeah! Before I left the house this morning I was hungry again (after a walk jog with the bug), so I ate a piece of leftover lasagna… drizzled with Texas Pete! I forgot to take a picture because I was rushing (what’s up with me and running behind schedule lately??), but here’s a pic from last night. It look the the same!
Speaking of running late, I gotta get out of here so I’m not late for my next appointment 😛
Keep the hair opinions coming… I really appreciate the feedback! Yall are the best!

On my way home around 5ish, I snacked on my Panera apple and some Kashi…
Hubbs is trying to fix the boat, so I’ve been sitting out in the driveway with him since I got home. It’s looking like a real ‘dinner’ isn’t going to happen tonight, so I’ve been continuing to snack…
This salad was actually amazing! Romaine, tomato, red pepper, onion, herb goat cheese from TJs, and some balsamic. It’s been too long since I had my beloved goat cheese and this really hit the spot! I could have eaten the whole log… seriously.
Buuuut the salad didn’t fill me up, so I munched on some Wheat Thins and Laughing Cow and threw sticks to my sweet girl…
I’m still not even close to full, but reallllly don’t feel like cooking. Maybe I’ll just drink a beer. KIDDING! .. kinda… 😉

The only no cook option I could find was soup…
It filled me up and was actually yummy (or was I just hungry?). And then… I drank a brewski.
Corona Light is usually my “boating around in the extreme heat” beer. I would have preferred to sip on a Blue Moon tonight, but we were out. I can’t wait to try one of Hubbs’ home brews, but we still have to wait a week.
I think the overwhelming consensus is to cut my hair short! Ah! I am nervous… but excited. I’m ready for a change! I’ll post a before and after tomorrow… I’m going to a new salon since we just moved up here, and I hope I get a good feeling from them… if not, I might chicken out 😉
Thanks so much for the feedback!

I have the same exact hair type! I always get more compliments when it’s shorter, but right now I have it long. I don’t know why… I will probably end up chopping it off soon! I say go for it – chop it off!! It looks super cute in that first pic!! 🙂

Cut! I love it short! So cute! I have crazy hair, too! I hate it!!

I say go “shorter.” IMO, it’s not that short at all, but has more shape in the first pic.

I have the long hair vs. short hair battle constantly with myself! I always find that I like short better, so I’m voting for short!! That first pic is super cute! I’m also in the same boat with needing a new stylist because we just moved! I’m in need of a haircut badly! Can’t wait to see what you decide to do with it!

I think Summer is the perfect time for a short haircut! I say do it! Good luck tomorrow!

Short looks beautiful on you. I have bushy, thick hair too. I am at a loss a to what I should do with mine as well.

Be daring and go short! Short hair is so fun in the summer!
