Spring. Can you believe it? Better yet, can you believe winter never actually came? I might have worn a jacket once or twice over the last few months, but that’s about it. Now, it’s full on springtime with 80 degree temperatures, pollen and official doggie swim season, which means my wood floors won’t be clean again until October. Sigh.
But it’s not all bad. Soon the farmers markets will be overflowing with a plethora of fresh fruits and vegetables and we’ll be eating ripe berries for every meal!
Half a Thomas’ whole wheat bagel with veggie cream cheese and a sliced boiled egg. 1/2 an orange on the side.
After breakfast I found my way back to the gym. I’ve missed you gym.
Workout A of best body boot camp consisted of a million squats in superset form (I learned a new word… superset) with cardio intervals and my butt and thighs feel it this morning. Wahoo!
After the gym I ate 1.5 bowls of tempeh curry over brown rice. The recipe I used isn’t worth sharing. It was so bland. I ended up smothering it in salsa. Because curry and salsa go together. Whatevs.
The afternoon was gorgeous so I enjoyed the other half of my breakfast orange and some cottage cheese on the back deck. I also ate a whole bowl of sunshine. Mama Pea’s massaged kale sunshine.
Followed by half a whole wheat hamburger bun topped with peanut butter and honey.
Then, there was a little more snackage…
…but more about that later.
Dinner was quinoa mac ‘n cheese served on spinach with a side of broccoli and cauliflower. I topped my “mac” with Texas Pete and green onions to give it a little more oomph!
We ended the night with an episode of The Middle. Why did it take me so long to find that show? I love it. I love Sue.
What’s a TV show you took forever to watch, but then loved it?
Kristen @ notsodomesticated says
I saw that episode when she got headgear … it was pretty funny! 🙂 Big Bang Theory is one that took me a while to watch, and now I LOVE it! Sheldon makes the show!
Tina @ Best Body Fitness says
Yummy looking day of eats! I did the leg workout myself yesterday and am certainly feeling it right along with you guys!
Lindsay@Fuel My Family says
Modern family took me a while to find. We love it now!
I am also happy spring is (still) here but with it being this nice already, it scares me summer will be unbearably hot!
Kristin says
I took a while to find both The Middle and Modern Family, and now I never miss them!
Parita @ myinnershakti says
I like the idea of putting a hardboiled egg on top of your bagel. YUM. And I LOVE The Middle. It’s such a gem of a show. Sue is my favorite too, followed closely by Brick. 🙂
nicole @ making good choices says
ooo i’ve never heard of the middle, I need to check it out!
Kelly says
Love the Middle and Modern Family, took some time to find those 🙂
Sarah @ The Smart Kitchen says
Downtown Abbey? Although I’m not sure missing one season counts as “taking forever to watch.” Perhaps Modern Family?
Also, I don’t know why I haven’t thought to make quinoa mac ‘n cheese…since I pretty much prefer it as a substitute for spaghetti with tomato sauce. [Maybe because I don’t really eat cheese anymore?]
Is it weird that when you said curry and salsa go together I thought, “obviously!” 😉
Sarah @ The Smart Kitchen says
And by “downtown” I meant “Downton.” Downtown Abbey sounds like a much racier show!
Bethany @ One Girl's Taste On Life says
Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother both took me a while to get into. Well, to be honest HIMYM took a while to get into. BBT was hilarity from the start…it just took a while to watch the first episode.
Amanda Perry @ Sistas of Strength says
Prison Break. We Netflixed it after it had already gone off the air after several seasons. It was SO good.

This is a very random question, but I see that your daughter is sitting in a highchair like chair, but it looks like it is actually on a chair. I am wondering if I should return our highchair and buy something similar. My husband & I live in a townhouse and pretty much use all the space we have and this seems like it would be a good idea! Let me know if you get a chance!
Thanks so much!
Stephanie
Brittany says
The high chair we got secures to an existing chair and I love it. I, too, didn’t want an extra “thing” taking up space, so we went the space saver route. It secures in 2 ways around the chair, so I feel like it’s very safe. The only downside I’ve found is it’s at Koda’s height and she likes sweet potato too 😉
Kelli H (Made in Sonoma) says
The Middle is awesome! I love it, too.
Brittney says
I love that picture of you and Hailey! So cute 🙂

I didn’t get into watching The Office until Season 3, I think, after I got married and my husband introduced me to it. I then had to get the previous seasons’ DVDs to quickly catch up and it’s been my favorite show ever since!
And you asked me yesterday If I think I am having a boy or girl… I definitely have felt girl since day one, but I guess we’ll know for sure in 9 days! Have a lovely Wednesday!
Tiff says
It took me forever to watch The Sopranos. Last year the hubs finally convinced me to put in on our Netflix list, and I was hooked!
