It’s true what they say- first trimester symptoms start to make a return during the late third trimester. I find myself a little queasy at time and drawn to starchy carbs and fruits over fat and protein. I’m eating small meals more regularly because sitting down to a large meal does not sound appealing. Just another sign that we’re in the final stretch! (I know I say this a lot, but it’s more so to keep me going mentally than to inform you that I am, indeed, getting close to the end.. or should I say, the beginning!)
A cherry Chobani with fresh cherries (LOVE these right now!), a nectarine, 1/4 c raw oats and chia seeds. Filling and fresh!
My love for bagels is back in full force. This half a whole wheat bagel is smothered in natural peanut butter and 1/2 a banana.
Followed by battling the heat for a nice long walk with the bugger and the belly.
Speaking of belly, I had to snap another lopsided picture… it’s just too funny not to! I’m amazed I don’t have stretch marks yet.
Spinach salad with goat cheese, kalamata olives, cherry tomatoes and a drizzle of Newman’s Own light balsamic.
And for even more iron, I ate some lentils drizzled with hot pepper sauce. YUM!
Love those addicting little Pretzel Crisps! And Sabra, of course.
The afternoon can be summed up in one picture:
So I knew an easy dinner was on the menu.
Quinoa and teriyaki vegetable stir-fry.
Followed up with a Whole Fruit Bar. So yummy!
I was actually surprised by the low totals. I think the return of queasiness has me eating less without realizing it.
Also, I’ve noticed my everyday eggs haven’t been making an appearance lately. I’ve been more up for fruit and carbs. And mexican hasn’t even sounded very appealing. WhO aM i?!?
What is the tastiest fruit you’ve been enjoying lately?
Organic cherries have tasted amazing to me!
