Welcome to another W{we}AW! I’m really debating whether I’m going to keep this a weekly event, or just a ‘sometimes’ post, but either way, I’m here today, so here we go!
Breakfast
1 egg on a whole wheat deli thin with 1 oz shredded Cabot cheddar, topped with some Jack’s fresh salsa.
I had a sliced white peach on the side with an (un-pictured) cup of decaf and cream.

Lunch
I picked up a brown rice California roll from the grocery store (how many of you just ewww’d??). I don’t think I could ever eat anything raw from the grocery store sushi counter, but I must admit I like the brown rice Californias.
Paired with watermelon… because obviously those go together. 😉

Movie Treat
Hubbs and I watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince last night. It was day 3 of Harry Potter movie madness. We’ll watch the Deathly Hallows: Part One on Thursday and be fully prepared to watch the newest Harry Potter on Friday night … I totally already bought VIP tickets to the screening and could not be MORE PUMPED about the Harry Potter date night extravaganza!
Is Hubbs the best husband or what? He is being such a good sport and indulging his 8 month pregnant wife’s love for Harry Potter… GOLD STAR for Hubbs!
Anyways, I ate a small handful of Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips right from the bag. Luckily they are sweet enough that only a few go a long way!

Are you a Harry Potter fan?
Have you seen the new one?
What did you think?! (No spoilers, please :))
Cait @ Beyond Bananas says
Loving the sushi! Interesting paired with the watermelon.. but watermelon is AMAZING in the summer.. and I do believe it can accompany just about ANY meal 🙂
Donna @ Life of a Happy Blonde says
I hope you keep it up, i love reading your WIAW posts, your breakfast eggs always make me swoon 🙂
I’m definitely in need of a Harry Potter marathon, i’ve missed the last 2 but i’m excited to see the final one, i read all the books!
I’ll admit, i love brown rice california rolls from the grocery store too 😉
Errign says
Huge HP fan. I feel like I’ve grown up with the books/movies and now that they’re over, I’m finally an adult, or whatever. I know that sounds weird…but yes, I saw the last one the other night and I thought it was fabulously done and they did a great job bringing them to an end,
thehealthyapron says
wow! 8 months already! Time is flying!! Happy Wednesday!
Katie H says
I love Harry Potter! I was a little late jumping on the bandwagon- I started reading them just before the sixth book came out. So addicting! The fifth movie and final book came out while I was studying for the bar. Right after I took the bar I went to the theater to see the movie and started the book the next day- it was my reward 🙂
Melissa @ Be Not Simply Good says
I haven’t read any Harry Potter yet. I’m still working on The Chronicles of Narnia. Maybe someday. 🙂 Have fun at the movie!!
Kristin @ eat healthy. be happy. live well says
Sorry, but I’m not a Harry Potter fan! I haven’t read any of the books or seen any of the movies…
But, I’m a fan of your WIAWs!!
blackhuff says
I have never seen Brown rice California rolls here in SA before. So jealous 🙁
Me and hubby watched Part 1 on Friday night and on Saturday we have watched Part 2 in the Cinemas. You are not going to be dissapointed.
Holly @ The Runny Egg says
I haven’t seen any of the HP movies so I have no clue. My sisters saw it opening night and loved it.
I like your WIAW’s, so I’d say keep it up. But do what works best for you.
Jen says
i’ve never read any of the HP books or seen any of the movies! crazy!
i like your WIAW posts. love seeing how you’re eating for pregnancy (your eats seem so balanced and healthy!) and everything always looks delicious!
have a great day! 🙂
Suzanne says
We are going to see HP on Friday, too! I’m already carefully planning my beverage consumption for that day so as to avoid having to make a pit stop in the middle of the film. That would really suck!
Brittany says
I was thinking the same thing! I am going to cut myself off an hour before and hope I can make it through 🙂
Anastasia says
I always buy grocery store sushi.. granted it’s the veggie kind but I think it’s pretty good!
I wish you’d keep this as a regular thing because I like seeing what you two eat! :]
Kelli H (Made in Sonoma) says
I LOVE HP! but I haven’t seen it yet. : ( I like the crowds to die down a bit.
Your hummus looks bomb!
Michelle @ The Cooking Life says
Um, I’ve totally bought sushi rolls from a grocery store before! no shame in that 🙂 PS – I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. Read all the books, own all the movies except for Deathly Hallows, watched the newest movie at midnight last week.
Brittany says
Midnight showing? I’m impressed!! And jealous… I wanted to go to the midnight showing and wear a preg shirt that says ‘muggle baby on the way’ or something else equally as nerdy and awesome 🙂
Sarah @ The Smart Kitchen says
I definitely used to eat the PB chips straight from the bag all the time during college. [I try not to have them around anymore…but you are right about them being the perfect sweetness so you CAN stop!]
I’m going to have to look for those Kashi pita crisps—I am such a sucker for anything new. 🙂
PS- The sushi we make at my grocery store is actually fabulous. The guys who work the counter are amazing and do such a great job. So I definitely did NOT “ewww.”
Shannon says
CAN’T Wait for the final HP!! Definitely need to have a pre-date night and brush up on the last couple movies. Thanks for the tip on the Kashi Pita Crisps, I’ve seen them but haven’t tried them yet! Love some Kashi 🙂
Ashley says
Nooo, don’t stop the W (we) AW! Those are my favorites 🙂 At some point I would like to start mimicing your meals, they look so good and practical despite being fresh and healthy. Keep em’ coming!
Caree @ Fit-Mama says
I am always so jealous of your eats. Everything always looks sooo good!!
I love Harry Potter!! Not sure if I will see the new and last one in the theater or wait until its out on DVD…
Lindsay @ The Lean Green Bean says
i’ve been eating my kashi pita chips too! yum 🙂
Jenny (Fit Girl Foodie) says
I actually love publix sushi rolls. I have them all the time. I think they are really tasty!
Brittany says
Oh how I miss Publix! Loved them when I lived in GA, but they don’t exist in NC.
Lauren says
I’m a huge HP fan and I don’t care who knows it! We just rented and watched HP7.1 on Sunday so we can see the final movie on Friday as well and I couldn’t be more excited! I already warned my boyfriend that there’s no way I don’t cry. I’m weird.
Brittany says
I’ve had a lot of people say to bring tissues! I’ll think about you and our joint excitement as the lights dim for showtime on Friday! Eeeeeeeeeeee! 🙂
Megan says
LOVE Harry Potter and the new movie was INCREDIBLE! And that’s coming from someone who read the books. My advice? Take tissues!
Jen says
I have been wanting sushi so badly lately! I don’t eat seafood anyway, so it’s a perfectly OK craving for me to have. I really think we need to hit up Cowfish soon. Have you been? They have delicious vegetarian sushi!
Brittany says
I’ve NEVER been to Cowfish and it’s killinggggg me. I want to go so badly, but I hear it’s always a two hour wait? I’ll go anytime! We can celebrate your baby BOY!
John J. says
A raised glass to David! (And looking forward to raising one with him soon!)
Tina says
I don’t think I could stop at one handful of reeses chips. LOL
And we did the same thing watching all the HP movies. It was a fun little experience and LOVED the movie!
Cara @ ChicMeetsHealthy says
we are seeing Harry Potter this week and I am so excited! I love sushi for TJ and Wegmans! I’ve been looking for an apricot chicken recipe too!
Jessica says
I say keep the W(we)AW! I really enjoy it! I am going to have to try those kashi pitas. I saw them at Costco this weekend and was majorly tempted:)
Jenn L @ Peas and Crayons says
your homemade hummus looks awesome! and cooked sushi is totally delish! I make veggie sushi at home a few times a month to get my fix! <3 Happy WIAW Brittany!
Allison @ PickyEatingRD says
I haev not seen 1 Harry Potter movie ever!! Can you even believe it?? Nor have I read a book. Maybe I should start from the beginning? TO be honest people have told me about the movies but since I am clueless on the story itself nothing makes sense!
Lauren B says
Just got back from a matinee showing of it! Amazing special effects, perfectly executed, and a neat little add-in at the end. Bring a tissue! And good call on watching Part 1 to refresh for Part 2… I didn’t and it took me a while to remember what took place in the first one!
Erin @ The Grass Skirt says
I am definitely a Harry Potter fan! But I think we’ll probably wait until the movie comes out on DVD. My husband slept through the last one!
katie says
LOVE how you put sushi and watermelon together 🙂
Liz @ IHeartVegetables says
I’m not really into the HP movies, but my roomies are! They both really liked it!
Oh man how did you eat just a handful of PB chips?! I probably would have eaten the whole bag 😉
