Hi blends! It’s Brittany, here, blogging live from Greenville, SC! I was totally unprepared today… my morning didn’t go as planned and after a quick breakfast turned into an hour long event, I was late getting on the road…. so long sotry short… no time to blog!
Why am I in Greenville? Because I’m here celebrating my best friend’s last baby shower before the little nugget arrives!!!
So, instead of a health post… will you please leave me your best new mommy advice for the mom to be?
I’d love to surprise her with good wishes from the blog world! Thanks all, and have a fabulous Friday!! 🙂

Have fun at the shower! How exciting for your friend!
These are some things that either were helpful to me, or things I wish I had done. Since sleep is precious in those early months, I would advise that she catch a nap sometimes when baby is napping if she can. Slings are great for holding baby and still having a hand free to do other things. Don’t try to be absolutely silent during feedings and naps, otherwise the baby may have trouble feeding or sleeping in situations that are not so quiet. If she is nursing and would like to cover her baby with a blanket in public, she may want to do it at home sometimes too, so the baby gets used to the blanket.
Best wishes to your friend! 🙂

Remember to breathe:) And make date night a must!

Ditto to the date night – the marriage is still #1.
Don’t feel guilty if she doesn’t immediately bond with the baby. It’s normal and many women don’t feel that immediate intense mommy connection we’re led to believe will happen.
Try to get into a routine. Babies thrive on routine. I cannot recommend the BabyWise book enough to help with that.
