9 months prego- whoop whoop! Baby D could arrive at anytime and be good-to-go. However, I don’t think s/he is making an appearance in the next week or so… but I’m not sure we’ll make it all the way to 40 weeks… famous last words, I’m sure… 😉
Breakfast
A combo that never sounds bad… whole wheat toast, natural peanut butter, a banana, a drizzle of honey and chia seeds! With a side of 1% organic milk to get the peanut butter off the roof of my mouth 🙂

Lunch
After another fabulous gym session… I swear getting there is so hard, but it feels so good afterwards… I devoured a delicious open face sandwich: wheat toast, hummus, onions, red pepper, spinach, tomato and feta. Perfection.
Then I had a momentary freak out. I thought I hadn’t felt Baby D move very strongly in a while and needed to feel movement ASAP before I got too worried and called my doctor (who probably thinks I’m crazy anyways). So I downed a glass of cold lemonade and laid down on my left side.
I began feeling movements, soon, but they didn’t feel as strong as usual. Luckily, through the afternoon they began to pick up again. If I’m this worried with Baby D in the womb, I can only imagine how I’ll be once s/he is here!

Afternoon Snacks
I worked through the afternoon with the help of some snackage. Starting with a shake made from unsweetened Vanilla almond milk, 1/2 a frozen banana, 1 tbsp of peanut butter and 1/4 cup Juice Plus chocolate shake mix.
I also munched on some pita chips and hummus.
Did you know that this Cedar’s Hommus only has 40 calories per 2 Tbsp?! That’s about 1/2 of usual hummus. Interesting.

Dinner
Dinner was delicious! I made oven-fried ranch chicken, only it looked a little different because I used Panko instead of Cornflakes, plus I added in some crushed pretzel chips- YUM.
I also used some fresh corn that was also given to me by Hubbs’ friend to make some amazing HEALTHY creamed corn using this recipe. It was seriously SO GOOD. Hubbs loved it. I had 2 helpings.
Plus some broc on the side, along with some Bone Suckin’ Sauce that I had splurged on (SO yummy) for dipping.

I’m really proud of my protein intake! It’s been a bit low lately as carbs sound SO much better to me, but yesterday I knocked it out of the park.
Do you ever track your food?
For calorie purposes?
For nutrient purposes?
blackhuff says
I did track my food when I was in the beginning of my journey but now that I know the nutritional values and calories of the food I eat, I don’t track anymore. If I do buy something I don’t usually do, that particular day I eat that item, I track calorie wise.
You eat such delicious meals and Whoop Whoop for being 9 months today 🙂
Cait @ Beyond Bananas says
You are right.. that breakfast combo always sounds delicious1
I do not track my foods – but I think it would be interesting to do one day just to see what I do consume in a day
Sarah @ The Smart Kitchen says
I track my food for both calorie and nutrient purposes. Even though I do think my body adjusts itself and “tells me what it needs” as far as protein or carbohydrates go, I did discover from tracking that I wasn’t getting as much calcium as I (a yogurt obsessed freak!) thought I was. As a produce princess, I also have to make sure I’m getting enough fat and calories. [Nut butter helps…]
I’ve noticed that about Cedar’s hummus! They must put a lot less tahini or olive oil in it. It definitely isn’t as “runny” as some others I’ve tried, but I think it’s great for sandwiches since it doesn’t make things all mushy. Their Roasted Red Pepper is one of my favorites. 🙂
Brittany says
It’s soo good on sandwiches! It’s actually my favorite after Sabra. I’d love to hear their amounts of ingredients because it is so much lower in calories and I don’t see how!
Tiff @ Love, Sweat, and Beers says
I track my food frequently on calories to make sure I’m not going overboard, but I don’t follow it all the time (especially weekends). By the way, I can’t say I’ve tried bbq sauce n’ broccoli. I love dipping my fries in it, but this is a new concept for me. Thanks for the idea!
Sarah says
As usual, I so enjoy reading about what you eat during the day. I’ve been thinking I “have to” wait til my baby is born to participate in WIAW since my baby updates happen on Wednesdays, but yours looks like so much fun that I may just nix that thought next week. (I didn’t take any picture of what I ate yesterday, or I think I would just do it today!)
Jen says
Your dinner looks so good! And I’m already freaking out about not feeling him move at certain times. It’s so scary! I bet we won’t sleep at all the first few months after they’re born.
Lindsey @ SoundEats says
First of all, thank you for the healthy creamed corn recipe! You are now probably my husband’s hero. 😉 I do track my food – I’m working really hard on my health right now (I have PCOS) and one way I’m doing that is focusing on positive nutrition, so I keep track of everything. 🙂
Can’t wait for s/he to get here! (In his/her own time, of course!)
Brittany says
I was told I had PCOS by a doctor, then another doctor said no I didn’t… weird! But I started trying to eat a diet similar to an insulin resistance diet for improvement, and loved it! Keep up with the focus on positive nutrition- it makes such a difference 🙂
PS- just had some creamed corn for lunch- still so good! Just sprinkle some S&P to top it off! 🙂
Jen says
pb + b + honey is my most favorite combo. i had it yesterday for lunch!
love your weekly food updates. so cool to see you at 9 months pregnant and still working out and eating well.
have a great day!
Alyssa @ Life of bLyss says
oh my goodness.. I feel like it was just YESTERDAY you announced you were preggo! I’m so excited for Baby D!
Brittany says
I feel like it was FOREVER ago that I announced I was pregnant- haha 🙂 I’m looking forward to the next stage!
Heather @ Side of Sneakers says
Ahh 9 months!! SO exciting. And your daily eats prove that anyone can keep up a healthy diet, even 9 months pregnant. A+++ from the RD 😉
Brittany says
Three +’s from my RD?! That makes me so happy 🙂 Can’t wait to follow YOUR healthy journey through pregnancy!
RhodeyGirl says
YUM!
I have the same freak outs over the kicking. I think they are just running out of room in there so they only kick a lot when agitated? Thats my guess. And it feels more like rolls than kicks, right?
Brittany says
Not so much kicks anymore, but pokes and wiggles. Sometimes I think Baby D is doing pushups because the back and feet will stick out at the same time- too funny!
Kelli H (Made in Sonoma) says
I don’t track what I ate on paper but I do track it mentally. I’m always aware of what I’m eating and at the end of the day think about everything I ate for the day. I guess that sounds kind of weird. haha.
Your eats are SO good for a 9 month pregnant woman. I’m so happy for you!
Susan @ Real Life Travels says
I was the same way when I got towards the end of pregnancy, about not feeling him as much … poor little baby is getting so big and taking up all the room in that belly of yours 🙂
I’m hoping you have the baby before we go out of town .. I’d say “or after” but that’s way too long I’d never wish that upon ya! Can’t wait … and I’m shocked you guys have kept “he/she” a secret this whole time!!
Brittany says
What day are you leaving? I’ll have a talk with Baby D to discuss timing 🙂
stephanie says
I love those whole fruit bars! Ive been lucky and have paired them with coupons whenever publix has them BOGO and have got them for .50 a box!
I used to track my calories, I dont anymore, but I try to keep in mind how many I am eating.
Lauren B says
I track my calories every day and use a food journal. I have found that this works best for me, b/c I LOVE food and easily go over-board if I’m not watching it. Plus, by writing down what I eat, I can go back and remember yummy meals that I enjoyed in the past.
Lauren says
I LOVED creamed corn when I was little. I must bookmark that recipe at once. I really want to try bone suckin sauce, glad to know it’s worth the splurge! I went through a period where I tracked calories but it just wasn’t the thing for me.
Katie @ Legally Fit says
Wow, look at all of that protein- go Brittany! You look awesome, as always! I can’t believe how soon s/he will be here (I still say she!!)
It’s funny how we start worrying about them as soon as we find out they are cooking in there! When I was reading about how you had to have the lemonade, I thought to myself that I hadn’t felt her move for a little bit. Then she gave me a movement that I felt on both my left and right side at the same time- so neat! I’m assuming that means she’s still transverse- she has time to flip down!
Liz @ IHeartVegetables says
Sometimes I track my food, sometimes I don’t. I’ve been going CRAZY on snacking lately, so I’ve started using thedailyplate.com to track my meals. It’s also good so I can make sure I’m getting in enough protein, since as a vegetarian, I gotta keep an eye on it!
Errign says
I do track, though I’m getting away from it now, since I think I was becoming dependent on the ROUTINE of doing it. I liked to see my nutrients broken down.
Kate says
Wow your food all looks delish and I am definitely trying out making my own tomato sauce after seeing yours! I dont track calories but I think if that is how you work best go for it!
Morgan @ Some Kind of Sunshine says
I track calories for a week or so every now and then just to make sure I am staying on track with balanced portions and eating habits!
That chicken sounds wonderful 🙂
Jin @ Health Ninja says
Sounds delish! Baby must have been so happy 🙂 especially the peanutbutter-banana-sandwich. classics are the best!
Erin @ The Grass Skirt says
I’ve never had Cedar’s hummus. Where did you find it? I do track my food on Livestrong on most days of the week to ensure that I am getting the right balance of nutrients. I tend to overeat one type of thing. It really keeps me on track!
Katie@PopCultureCuisine says
I used to track calories religiously before I got married, but I found it totally made me a nut and I didn’t always choose the most nutrient rich foods, rather what fell into my calorie allotment. Now that I am 35 weeks pregnant there are days when I quickly add up in my head what I have had just to see where I’m at, but I try not to think too much about it, I know if I’m hungry baby must need it!
Heather @ girlyeverafter says
I love all your meals. As a non-pregnant lady I would eat all that too;) Your makeupless face is gorgeous!
Caree @ Fit-Mama says
Whenever I read what you eat, I am so jealous. I wish you could cook for me! 😉
And girl, you don’t even need make up!!! Beautiful! 🙂
Sam says
i’m so bad at tracking calories – i always leave off treats 🙂 totally defeats the purpose!!
Sam @ fitness food & faith (giveaway today!)
Kristin @ eat healthy. be happy. live well says
I rarely track my intake. I’ve done it before, so I feel I have a good grasp on what I need throughout the day.
I’m envious of your protein intake! Haha! I always try to get as much as possible too!
Roz says
I track, but I’m on weight watchers…it’s all part of the program. Come out Baby D….the blog world wants to meet you!!!
Shayla @ The Good Life says
All your eats look so delish! I’ve been following your blog for awhile and am now just commenting, don’t know why it took me so long, lol! I love your blog and I can’t wait for your new bundle of joy to arrive! Hubby and I are currently trying so I’ve loved catching up with all your pregnancy posts…you look gorgeous throughout the entire process and I’m excited to continue following you along in this journey 🙂
Mallory @ It's Only Life says
Wow, all of those meals look delicious! That must be one happy baby inside of you! 🙂
Jenny (Fit Girl Foodie) says
I like tracking my food for macro nutrient purposes. Gotta make sure to get in plenty of protein and fats! 😀
Sarah says
Hi Brittany, I stumbled upon your blog recently and have really enjoyed the recipes and information you have to offer. I wanted to ask you if there is an online or computer program of some sort that you use to calculate calories and other nutritional information for what you eat. I eat alot of grains, beans and produce because I am a vegetarian and I feel like I have to guesstimate (not sure if that is a real word) my calories. Just curious how you figure yours out.
Also, congratulations on making it this far in your pregnancy. It is inspirational to see how well you are maintaining your health through it all.
Jenn L @ Peas and Crayons says
You’d think I was 9 months preggo eating WG toast with PB and pickles…. =) maybe I should buy bananas and be normal for once. hehe. though i’d still add the pickles =)
love ya! soooo close to BABY TIME!
