Yesterday was one of those days. I just felt off. You have them, too, right? It started off with a trip to the grocery store at 6am before Hailey was awake for soup and proper hydration supplies for my sick hubby.
He never gets sick, so is it wrong I got to relish in the fact I got to play nurse yesterday? I wasn’t alone. Koda helped, too. Sometimes you just need some puppy love.
With that start to the day, I totally forgot to snap breakfast pictures, but you probably wouldn’t be too enthralled with a bowl of oatmeal anyway.
The day wasn’t a total waste. After disinfecting the whole house, I even made it to the gym.
And Hailey slept for both her naps. 2 beautiful 2 hour stretches each.
But it was still one of those days that the sky decides to open up just as you (and the baby) are about to run into a store.
And despite meal planning and proper grocery shopping, I couldn’t find a darn thing for dinner and ate a cheese sandwich (not to be confused with a grilled cheese. No, just sliced cheese on bread. How dull).
I still have quite a to do list, as Hailey’s birthday is coming up and I still have a ton of crafts to complete.
That’s a lie. I have 2. And they aren’t that big, but it’s still looming over me.
With my lack of organization, it also means that Munchkin Meals won’t be happening tomorrow. It will be back in 2 weeks with a great theme suggested by Sarah. PICNIC FOODS! I love this theme, because with fall around the corner, I hope to be packing lunches for H and I to enjoy on a wagon ride to the playground. Over the next couple weeks, snap some pictures of your little one enjoying some packed snacks and meals and link it up!

The bf and I were also in a funk yesterday and we are attributing it to the fact that we had Monday off so now our whole week is off!

I’ve had an off week too. What kind of party are you throwing for Hailey’s first? My baby turns 1 in October and I am torn between keeping it small with just immediate family and very close friends, or, throwing a big party with everyone. I’m leaning towards the smaller party since I think she would have more fun and be more at ease than with a huge crowd. Or maybe its just her mama that would be more at ease with a small crowd!

My husband never gets sick either, but when he does it definitely throws me off too! Hope yours feels better soon! Looking forward to munchkin meals in two weeks! yes, i totally have “off” days and they usually follow me deviating from my normal schedule…like holidays/long weekends/etc. i cannot believe tomorrow is thursday! this week is killing me!
