Hey, did you hear? Thanksgiving is tomorrow! I know. In the words of Phoebe Buffet, THIS IS BRAND NEW INFORMATION. Despite my knowledge of when holidays fall, I often find myself putting together food for such events on last minute notice. If you’re like me and still haven’t finalized your Thanksgiving menu, here’s a crowd-pleasing appetizer that is sure to make it look like you’ve been planning it for months!
I partnered with Harris Teeter to bring you this culinary delight, so there’s a giveaway at the end you don’t want to miss!
These crostini look impressive, yet come together fairly easily.
Trust me, I have no experience in cooking school or professional training (I know, pick your jaws up off the floor, please), and was still pretty excited with the way these came out both visually and taste-wise.
I hardly have the patience to properly caramelize onions.
Yet, somehow I made it all work.
And it was easy.
So if you need a last minute appetizer to bring or are having a small Thanksgiving and want to eat these for the entire meal (like David and I did for lunch yesterday with a splash of Texas Pete… because we are classy like that), I highly suggest checking out this recipe.
Caramelized Onion & Herbed Goat Cheese Crostini

Yum! I make something similar that with a recipe I got from a friend. We make the croutons with some garlic mixed in olive oil and mix the goat cheese with cream cheese and the caramelized onions on top.
