Hey y’all! I really didn’t mean to skip out on yesterday. I had full intentions of planning a post all about the past 7 years with this stud:
Yes, we’ve been married 7 pretty incredible years as of yesterday and celebrated with a 9 hour ride in the car with a 4 year old and a 1 year old. Haha.
And actually it was perfect because it meant we were driving 9 hours home after disembarking from a DISNEY CRUISE! We set sail on Friday for a 3 night Disney cruise to the Bahamas. Needless to say, I have no less than 400 pictures to sort through, but for those that inquired on Instagram and Snapchat, I definitely plan to recap it and give my best tips, especially if you plan to go with a toddler.
But because I can’t resist a quick sneak peek, yes, you could say there were some magical moments.
That the weather cooperated in the fullest.
And we all stayed up late and managed to have a little fun.
Overall it was a wonderful whirlwind of a weekend!
While mentally I am still sitting on the veranda sipping a brewski
the reality is that I’m back home with a broken camera (luckily happened in the car on the ride home and not on the trip), a computer on its last legs and moving at a snail’s pace, an empty fridge and two worn out kiddos. Eeks, hello reality!
However, I’m feeling ready to take it on because I did two things before we left for the trip:
- I made sure the entire house was clean, including the fridge and sheets (crazy).
- I made sure all the laundry was done so when we emptied out our suitcase, they could go straight into the wash. Now I’m already almost through all the laundry!
Kind of crazy but it’s the best feeling to come home to a clean house.
I even made our meal plan last night to get a jump started on things today.
I’ll hit up Whole Foods this morning before tackling the rest. Food always comes first, right?! Whatever the week brings, I’m feeling refreshed and still smiling at all the memories we made. I promise to sort through the photos quickly and (over)share our adventure, as always. Wink.
One quick thing before I pour a hot cup of tea and get the day started, I want to send a quick birthday shout out to my dad!
Happy birthday daddio! Love you lots and I’ll be toasting you from here, though probably with a lemon water, as I’ve had enough beer π
Ok everyone, catch me up! What have you been up to?
And if you have any specific Disney Cruise questions, leave them below!

That does look like a great weekend. I guess any long weekend with the family AND the Bahamas is bound to be awesome! π
I’m the same, when we get home from a trip I need to make sure the fridge is decently filled asap – otherwise I feel sort of out of control…
Have a great week!

I got really excited when I saw you went on a disney cruise! Can’t wait to hear all about and would love any tips! I finally got hubby on a cruise last year and he loved it. He can’t imagine cruising with kids but I’ve heard great things about Disney.

That looks like so much fun!
We celebrated 10 years by driving 9 hours from Florida to South Carolina with a 3yo and 5mo, so I know hard it must have been…glad you all celebrated together, though!

My partner and I are planning a disney cruise (with a 7 month old baby and a 7 year old). I can’t wait to read your recap and tips. π

Can’t wait for your cruise recap! A Disney cruise is on the top of my list of vacations to take, so I’m always curious to hear what people think. Do you feel like the 3 night cruise was long enough or do you wish you had taken a slightly longer one?
Happy Anniversary!

Hey there! I have a 7 month old girl – my first. We did our first weekend trip 2 weeks ago. Day 1 was a blast. She got a short pm nap in the ergo and had fun at the aquarium. We got back to the hotel 2 hours before bedtime to wind down. At midnight, we drove home because she was still screaming. .. not sleeping. At what age could yours tolerate traveling and sleeping? Or is mine just the world’s pickiest sleeper? Haha.

Cruises are the BEST. I havenβt been on one in a few years, but they are always a huge hit. So relaxing. Happy Anniversary to the two of you. π
Happy Birthday to your Dad!

I’m the same way about traveling & cleaning like a crazy person before we leave. I love coming home to a clean house. It makes things so much easier. Congratulations on your anniversary! Looks like you guys are really happy : )
Jared & I were married in 2010, so we’re one year behind you (although married in September). Can you believe he’s my only true “boyfriend” that I’ve ever had. This year is 14 years of him being my boyfriend… wow!
