This week has been a full one- aren’t they all?! Here’s a little peek into what we’ve been up to.
David finished up my NEW GARDEN and I am psyched. We need to fill it with soil and what not, but I have visions of fresh produce (or critter-chewed remnants and weeds?) already dancing in my head.

The girls and I picked out seeds, started them and are actually seeing growth! For a newbie like me this is very exciting. I plan to do a more comprehensive post on our novice garden adventures soon.
I had an afternoon to get some work done this week and of all things to snack on, a cannoli sounded like the right choice. I don’t think I’d ever even has a cannoli before this one?!
Tasty, but I secretly wished I would have gone with the tres lesches cake instead.
David was able to meet up with me so we could both do some work. Or rather, so I could work and he could explore the world of snapchat and send me little gems like this.
Betcha didn’t think I’d post that, did ya babe? 🙂
After closing up shop, we hit up an early sushi dinner together at Pisces in Mooresville.
It was a great choice! Super fresh and with good prices when you hit up happy hour during the week.
Let’s see, what else?
I almost hit 10k steps every day this week. The beautiful weather and conversations with a good friend definitely help make that goal a little easier to hit.
Time I get some new shoes perhaps?
I’ve also enjoyed fridge salads all week long, which basically means whatever I happen to have in the fridge goes in a bowl. Somehow it always works out to be pretty tasty!
See, a wild and exciting life like always! Ha.
In hopes of redeeming this post with a little substance, I’ll leave you with these as I head out of town (follow along on instagram and snapchat)!

Oh man, daylight savings…! Thanks for the reminder. I checked, and here in Germany the time shift won’t be until the end of March…puhh! 😉
Your garden looks great. I look forward to my son being a little older and participating in all the garden action!
Have a great weekend.

I am totally jealous of that garden! SO pretty!
And I am struggling with my step count right now. I lowered my daily goal to 6K steps temporarily since I am sitting so much feeding a newborn!
And I reeeally need some new athletic shoes as well. I struggle because I don’t want really bright ones, and it seems that’s all there is. I have really big size 10 feet that I don’t want to draw that much attention to.

I would love to have a garden! But I have such a black thumb! I can’t even keep kitchen herbs alive!

Love the garden David has started for you. Gives me an idea for a project for the next time he visits—uhmm, maybe I shouldn’t tell him that or he may not come 😉

You can order frozen deep dish pizzas from the best places in Chicago. I know you love cooking, but they are such a treat (and so incredibly delicious!). We actually had one this week after getting a craving for them…we love Chicago! Enjoy your weekend!!
Brittany Dixon says
Have you done that- ordered a frozen one?! If so, which one do you recommend?

Loving the garden, and I might be using those spring forward DST tips for me and my boyfriend even though we’re in our 20s… 🙂

I love how spring themed this post was! I’m hoping to start my own garden for herbs and sunflowers this year, so thank you for the inspiration. Your salad bowls are looking wonderful — maybe you can do a post breaking down what you throw in there! 🙂 Happy Friday!

Great post idea- thanks! I’ll have to start taking pictures and share all the crazy creations in one post 🙂

Love those sandals!
I wish I could have a garden. Living in a city it is kind of difficult. Plus I kill everything! I’m currently trying to keep succulents alive…
