Good Monday morning- I feel like I’ve been gone forever! I had a wonderful long Thanksgiving weekend, and hope you did, too. I know there are a million recaps out there in blogland today, so to join in on the fun, here are some of the highlights of my holiday weekend in Atlanta…
I dressed up my little turkey for her first Thanksgiving! And we enjoyed a meal and experience right out of Southern Living.
Even the kids table was decorated festively with place cards- adorable!
The food was incredible. I added some of everything to my plate as I admired the centerpieces on the buffet line up.
But the best part of Thanksgiving? Hanging out with this crew!
Of course, a Georgia victory over Georgia Tech was pretty nice, too… even if I am the only bulldawg in this family of yellow jackets!
8 years ago we met inside this house… this weekend we were back with our baby girl!
Once Thanksgiving had come to a close, it meant we could kick off Christmas season! And what better way to do that than with a trip to see the man himself!
The long weekend was packed full of fun family time, just the way I like it! However, it still felt good to get home yesterday, settle in and relax a little. Well, I relaxed. Hubbs put the finishing touches on lights that I can use to better illuminate my food for blog pictures, now that it’s dark at 5:30pm.
Is he great or what? Between the new lights and watching Martha Stewart’s Christmas Cookie Show, I’m ready to get into the kitchen and start making spirits bright! If only I knew where to start…
What is your favorite Christmas cookie?

I love the table decor, so pretty 🙂
My favorite Christmas cookie is a lemon cookie tied like a pretzel dipped in a lemon/sugar glaze with sprinkles on top. It’s not really “Christmass-y” at all but my mom would make them every year so I think of them that way.

Oh, my. Hailey looks absolutely adorable in her Thanksgiving outfit. I love the decor, too! So inspiring for my next get-together…whenever that may be:-).
And I just have to add- you look vibrant, Brittany. I especially love the picture of you in the black shirt with the plaid scarf. One day Hailey is going to look through photos in awe of how beautiful her mother is.
Brittany says
Thank you so much, Sarah! I’m still working on feeling like me again, and hearing such kind words sure makes me smile!

Pretty table, pretty food, and pretty family! It looks like a great time. 🙂 My favorite Christmas cookie is either chocolate dipped Oreos or chewy chocolate chip. Sugar cookies are the most fun to make though 😉

Wow! Such a lovely table set up and the food looks so good too 🙂 Mt favorite Christmas Cookie are the ones made by the pampered chef food press (not sure what they are called but my mom makes them 🙂 And Sugar cookies with a hershey kiss in the middle, now I know those have a name but I can’t think of them 🙂

Beautiful pictures creating wonderful memories! Hilliary is a Super Woman–four kids and elegant Southern Living Thanksgiving dinner! I just tried a new cookie-ginger molasses. They are nice and soft and go great with coffee in the morning 🙂
