Sometimes after such a busy and amazingly fun weekend, it’s hard to ease back into a work week… but I’m trying 🙂
There was a lot of celebrating going on this weekend, starting with Friday night, when just Hubbs and I went out to celebrate his birthday. It’s Charlotte restaurant week, which means you can get a 3 course meal for $30, so I found a fancy place I’ve been wanting to try, Dressler’s. We both ordered steak and we loved it! mmm…
Saturday was the big surprise day, and somehow I think I pulled it off! We checked into a hotel in uptown and I told David we were going to meet a few friends to celebrate… little did he know that a “few friends” meant a group of 20 friends and family from Destin, Atlanta & Charlotte! SURPRISE!
I’m so, so grateful for friends and family to come all this way to help make Hubb’s 30th so special… THANK YOU!!! Below is most of the group…
And of course there was cake…
We celebrated into the night with chatting and dancing… such a memorable night! Sunday, we were exhausted, but luckily, that’s what lazy Sundays are for. Relaxing… and my first attempt at a semi-homemade chicken noodle soup!
Success!! The perfect way to warm up and end an incredible weekend.
