I know… I know… lay off about warm weather, but seriously…
Encarta defines it as: feelings aroused by springtime: a feeling of restlessness, yearning, lust, or sometimes laziness, believed to be brought on by the coming of spring
I define it as: an intense desire and itching for warmer weather, fresher produce, sunshine and outdoor fun.
I’ve never experienced this before, though I was known to fall victim to senioritis in high school and college, but yes, this is my first time with a full on, self-diagnosed case of SPRING FEVER.
How could I not… the weather yesterday was sunny and 68 degrees, which could only mean one thing…
the return of TENNIS!!
I couldn’t help my giddiness and Hubbs and I took the court, on what could only be described as the perfect weather for tennis. Though our serves were rusty…
and blisters formed quickly…
I’ve never been happier!
It got me thinking about all my favorite warm weather activities, and how (no surprise), I’m not really an exercise/gym kind of girl, but rather a fun activity kind of girl. So I decided to compile a list of my summer favorites. That way, when I’m cursing the heat, I can look back and see all the wonderful things there are to do in the heat!
- tennis
- long walks/wogs/jogs
- swimming
- water skiing
- jumping through sprinklers
- biking
- hiking
- water balloon fights
- mud wrestling (ok, never done this, but sounds fun!)
- roller blading (just needs to pick up some ‘blades)
- cooking (because it’s more fun to try new recipes when there is a cookout to attend!)
What is your favorite summer activity? Please add to my list and together we can will spring to arrive sooner! 🙂

cookouts, flip-flops, ice cream, sunshine, outdoor festivals, the general feeling of happiness that permeates the air…
lucky for me, in Texas we’ve only had about 3 weeks of actual cold weather, so i haven’t been too lost without the happy vibes of spring 🙂
