Friday! It’s been a long week for me trying to figure out Hailey’s new schedule, or lack there of. What can I say? I’m somewhat type A and enjoy consistency. I’m learning to be flexible, though you would think after 11 months of having a baby I’d be better at it! I’m a work in progress.
Where was I going with this?
Oh yes, I decided to keep things a little lighter with some good ‘ol Q&A! It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, so here goes… a few questions answered by yours truly! CHEEEEEEESE.
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
I’d be better at relaxing when things get switched up last minute. I’m working on it, but once there is a plan I go a little crazy if it gets switched up on me
What, more than anything else, makes you feel loved?
When someone asks me something about my life and truly listens to my answer. Giant hugs are good, too.
How do you define success?
Being happy, healthy and self reliant.
If you were the king (or queen) of the world, what is the first thing you would change?
I’d find a way to get rid of Somali pirates
If you could travel back in time, which historical event would you like to witness?
I think I’d like to have seen my parents while they were dating. Odd answer, but I think it would be neat to see. That, or the signing of the Magna Carta. I kid.
What is the most important thing you want to accomplish before you die?
I want to have a grand adventure with my family.
What’s your biggest pet peeve? (Something people do that REALLY annoys you).
When someone is unreliable. OR when David dips a chip into salsa and then cheese dip. Always go cheese to salsa or the cheese turns pink. Ew.
Where in the world would you most like to live?
Boulder, CO. Or New Zealand.
If money was no object, what would you be doing right now?
I’d be off on that grand adventure with my family I talked about, exploring the world. And flying all our extended family to meet us wherever they pleased. Because money is no object, right?
Now pick one and answer it so I can know you better!

Biggest Pet Peeve?? When my hubby leaves his dirty clothes on the bedroom floor- WHY CANT HE WALK 10 FEET and put them in the dirty clothes basket I will never understand.
Hallie@ChasingHallie says
My husband does the exact same thing. They are always in a pile on his side the bed. Ugh! He also leaves his shoes all over the house…drives me insane!
stephanie**s says
haha! mine does the same thing, and he always asks me where his shoes are. I just recently began telling the hubs I’ll just throw away clothes he leaves on the floor. He’s started to get better about putting his clothes away now, but is still struggling so I have to keep reminding him.

Must be a guy thing! David puts his close RIGHT BESIDE the basket. I just don’t get it.
Nicole @Apples and Arteries says
That’s why we do our own laundry and keep separate baskets in separate closets! My b-f says that having separate bathrooms will ensure our relationship lasts a lifetime 🙂

If money was no object, what would you be doing right now?
I would be a SAHM! I HATE having to pay someone to “raise” my babies :o( My heart breaks every morning when I drop them off.
Brittany says
Aw, Hanna, I imagine that has to be so tough! But what an awesome role model you are being so hard working AND a great mom!
Erica says
I never thought about what it would be like to see my parents dating – adorable!
Paulina says
If money was no object I would be a SAHM with a guaranteed job in a few years when my kid(s) start grade school. My daycare is AMAZING but, I really miss my girl every day and this lifestyle is very hectic. I spent time yesterday running the numbers and looking at the long term pros and cons. Right now, it just isn’t possible. However, there might be hope! I scheduled a meeting with a financial planner for some professional advice, and I’m looking into part-time options at my work.
Abby says
Would you do a vlog? I think they’re such a great way to get to know a blogger and you are just adorable!
Brittany says
Haha, Thanks Abby!! I’ve thought about doing a vlog, but never got around to it. I’m one of those people that is downright goofy on camera. I guess I need to get over that first 🙂
Sherry says
If money was no object—I’d be planning a two week trip to Montana in the summer time for our family–everyone, even the pups. We would bike, hike, swim, kayak, raft, golf, horse ride (not me) or whatever anyone wanted to do, and then meet up for dinner to talk about the day’s adventures.

What, more than anything else, makes you feel loved? My love language is definitely thoughtfulness. When someone plans/does/says/gives something that lets me know that I’m truly KNOWN, that’s what does it for me 🙂
christina says
I love your historical event answer. That’s so sweet. We need to be friends bc I love double dipping my cheese like you do. Cheese first, and then the salsa, because the salsa will stick to the cheese! HAHAH!!
Jen says
I’d be doing the same thing if money was no object! My biggest pet peeve is when people don’t use their turn signals! Drives me insane as a driver and runner.
Lauren B. says
My biggest pet peeve: when people are not courteous. This is kind of broad, but it encompasses anything from not using your blinker, having really noisy neighbors, smoking around a pregnant woman (!!!!), or not valuing other people’s time by consistently being late. Can you tell that I have thought about this before?! 🙂
Maria says
I’ll take that one step further into craziness and say there is no intermixing of cheese and salsa in any way shape or form. Get yourself plate, pour some cheese, pour some salsa and add a pile of chips. Stay out of the jars. Do not double dip. Do not pass go.
I don’t know how my husband puts up with me 😉
Oh and my biggest pet peeves is when someone is smoking in the car in front of me and it comes through the vents of my car. I get a little ragey. This might be tripled when we have children.
Hallie@ChasingHallie says
Where in the world would you most like to live? — I would LOVE to live in Seattle. I need less heat and more green. Plus the attitude towards a healthy lifestyle is so much better than Texas.
Erin @ The Grass Skirt says
Witnessing the signing of the Magna Carta would be amazing! LOL.
If I could live anywhere, I’d pick Hawaii. Hands down. Too bad everything there is so pricey.
John J. Stathas says
You would have enjoyed our dating period. We had a lot of fun: ran and played tennis together, listened to good music in clubs, travelled to Hawaii and south Florida. It was so much fun we decided to have a life together and raise two tremendous kids. Mission accomplished and still thriving 34 years later!

I love this post! I may have to steal the idea down the road. 🙂
I can really relate to you on #1…my husband is always telling me to relax ESPECIALLY when things get changed last minute.
Example: for our honeymoon, my husband’s aunt and uncle generously gave us a time share on Kauai. When we got there, we realized the “timeshare” was more like a Motel 6. Womp, womp. I was upset, crying, and just unhappy in general. I try not to be spoiled, but on your honeymoon, you want the fairy tale. Am I right? You know I am! So he told me to relax and everything would work out. We ended up using our wedding money to move to a much nicer hotel. It really wasn’t getting myself all worked up over…
I think if money were no object, I would probably be living on Maui and doing some sort of craft or foodie thing to make spending money. I work retail right now so my schedule is crazy (days, nights, weekends, holidays). My most important criterion would be to have a flexible schedule so I could spend as much time with my family as possible.
Matt @ The Athlete's Plate says
I definitely want to live in Boulder! Or Italy 😉

An important thing I want to accomplish is get my doctorate. I live researching children in education. I also want to have my own family so I can link up with munchkin meals 🙂

If I could live anywhere…probably Sydney, Australia. We honeymooned there, and absolutely LOVE it. It’s the perfect mix of city life + beach life. Australians are very active, and like most of the world, very much believe in lots of PLAY in addition to work.
BUT, I don’t think we could ever ACTUALLY live there; too far away from family 🙂 But to piggyback on the other question, with unlimited $$$ we’d travel there 3-4x a year! It’s amazing!
