This post is late because I wanted a diner-style breakfast. So I made it.
Scrambled egg (and egg white) with red pepper and spinach, crispy hash browns with HFCS-free ketchup (like French fries for breakfast!) and 2 pieces of no nitrate/nitrite bacon. The bacon brand is Applegate Farms, but there is another brand I like better… when I remember which one it is, I’ll let you know.

My awesome cousin shared a secret with me. If you go to Eden Organics website and use their Contact Us link to inquire about coupons, they’ll send you an info pack with a wad of coupons… hard to find coupons, too!
Perhaps you’ve heard me discuss how Eden Organic is the only company that makes BPA-free cans? Pretty awesome, right?! You should try them!

Often times I am cheap and take pictures of recipes I want to try instead of buying the magazine. So, sue me.
I can’t wait to try the quinoa and white bean chili!

Feeding toddlers junk may lead to lower IQ scores. Read it here.
Further evidence that healthy eating is so important, even early in life… maybe even more so! I don’t think the occasional ice cream treat will ruin your child’s chances at Harvard, but making sure that their every day diet is full of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and protein certainly seems to be beneficial in many ways. Try getting creative and making healthy food fun- Mama Pea is a great example, plus she’s hilarious.
Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
Heard any fun facts recently?

OMG! I have totally taken a picture of a recipe before. My mom and I were spending the weekend together at a cabin and we wanted to cook a big dinner together from a recipe. We didn’t have internet access, so we walked to the little local bookstore and took a picture of a recipe. lol We were all sneaky about it and were worried we’d get caught. hahah good memory.

If you email Eden Organics they send you TONS of promotional material and some coupons too. It’s crazy! I email a lot of companies that I like to get coupons and it’s awesome how generous they are sometimes. I got a bunch for Amy’s brand products too, which was pretty snazzy. I definitely recommend the approach to anyone who feels like they’re having a hard time finding coupons for healthier items. It’s awesome.

Instead of taking pictures of the recipe, I usually just stand in the middle of the bookstore/grocery store with a scrap piece of paper and a pen and try to shorthand copy the whole darn thing. Obvious, much?

I take pictures of cookbooks and books I want at the book store. Then, I order them online. They are usually cheaper even with the shipping!

I love diner-style breakfasts! Hash browns are so so yummy…And when you buy the frozen version, they’re super healthy (no fat!).
I’ve taken numerous pictures of recipes!! A few months ago I was in Barnes and Noble, and after snapping a picture, and a woman approached me and told me that I should be ashamed! I was so embarrassed and haven’t done it since! haha
Thanks for the Eden Organics coupon tip!
