Fitness is something I realize I haven’t talked about it a while. I guess I’ve just been too wrapped up in food. That happens quite often! However, with a potential 10k looming in, oh, A WEEK, you’d think I’d be more focused. I just can’t seem to get excited about running.
I’m still active. Taking a look at the past week…
Friday– hiking with the kelty
Saturday– 5 mile bike ride
Monday– nada (thought I was getting sick)
Tuesday– cardio strength class (I wasn’t sick) + 3 mile walk
Wednesday– ran 3 miles
Friday– I’m going to run this morning… not sure how far yet
I’d say the above is pretty typical of my workouts lately, though I am usually at the gym on Mondays, too.
However, it doesn’t quite look like a 10k training schedule, does it? Right now I’m debating on whether to sign up and go for it, walking if I need to, or to just scratch it. Clearly I’m not looking to PR, but merely to race for fun. Thoughts?
While on the topic of fitness, I am excited to share with you a new workout top I recently selected to review by Albion Fit. They reached out to me asking if I’d like to review one of their tops. Since I basically live in workout clothes during the week, I was interested. After checking out their cute workout tops, I accepted.
I’ve had this sea foam racer back for over a week so I could give it a true test of washing and wearing. First test- do I look like the model?
Nope. But I guess we can’t blame that one on the top.
It fits me well, though a little long for my short torso. I like that it is supportive without being too tight. I wore it hiking, biking and at my cardio strength class. It was plenty of support for my smallish chest. For running, I’d have to wear another sports bra underneath it.
I really like the bright, sea foam color and the details that make it feel feminine, like the racer back and the side ruching.
I’ve washed it twice and it has held up well and maintained its bright color, which is important to me. I prefer tops that are fitted because they flatter my petite frame (ok, short stature) more than baggy shirts. I’d buy another Albion top with my own money.
But you don’t have to take my word for it, because you can try it out yourself! Albion Fit is giving one of you the same sea foam racer back top.
