I really owe you guys a post on my body (I can’t really call it a post baby body at 13 months can I?). Not because you care so much, but because I’m amazed at the changes I’ve experienced since I’ve started bootcamp. I only make it 3 times a week usually, but those 45 minute sessions have made the biggest difference in my physique.
Avocado, tomato, fried egg, feta and sriracha
What I love is that the workout is different every single time so I don’t even have the opportunity to get bored. The BBC facebook page lists a protocol each Sunday so you know what to expect the following week (kind of like Monday-lower body, Tuesday- cardio and core, etc). Usually the trainer leads you through a warm up (don’t let the name fool you, it’s tough too!) then shows you the exercises for the day and proceeds to push you through.
Yesterday things were a little switched up and we had a whiteboard workout that we did for time.
I’d say 4 laps is about equal to .3 miles (if I had to guess). We started with a warm up of 4 laps, then about 10 minutes alternating step ups on the curb, mountain climbers and push-ups ALL BEFORE we started the actual workout.
Something about the set up of going for time pushes me. Daniel (our awesome trainer) told us the record for completion for the day was 17 minutes 21 seconds, but if you finish around 21 minutes, you’re doing a great pace. We all were supposed to finish by 25 minutes. So after a brief explanation of the movements, we hit it!
Oh man, did I push it. And Daniel pushed me (get those pushups on your toes!) and I somehow ended up finishing in 21:17.
I won’t lie, I wanted to throw up for a minute, but caught my breath before we all finished it with planks, more laps (you had to keep going until everyone finished), then finally ended it with sprints.
Did I already say it? Kicked. My. Booty.
And it felt great! I highly recommend you giving it a try. If you want to do it at home, here is a slightly modified version to pin:
Ok, anddddd lunch!
Turkey and Havarti sandwich with spicy mustard, lettuce and tomato with extra tomato, carrots and a pickle
I thought for sure during Hailey’s afternoon swim lesson that I’d be unable to move today, but I’m doing surprisingly OK!
I was stoked as I thought about the spaghetti I had planned for dinner, but I had forgotten to thaw the ground beef (did I mention we bought half a cow?) so a last minute switch up led to brinner, which I can’t say I was mad about. Hashbrownssssssss.
Hashbrowns, pepper, onion, mushroom and egg omelet and, shocker, more tomatoes!

What kind of workouts are you loving currently?
Obviously I’m hooked on bootcamp, but would also love to get some yoga back in my life.
Are you a brinner fan?
Usually I’m not, but if you add hashbrowns, I can get on board!
