…with captions 🙂
Yesterday I woke up ready to hop back on the health bandwagon! My legs were itching to get some exercise, so after breakfast…
Fage 2% Greek Yogurt with Peaches, Oatmeal Squares & Almonds
I strapped on my runnin’ shoes, grabbed the bug and was off!! But not without first making Koda pose by my fall mailbox.
Her coloring was MADE for fall 🙂
Then I was off… and feelin’ good!
Whew, are those tired eye, or what?! But I ran for 30 minutes and felt great! OK, probably more off a jog, but still, my legs and lungs both were singing tunes and having a ball. I was excited to have 30 minutes pass by that easily. (despite slight boredom… I need a new playlist).
I finished off the seafood gumbo after my run, the proceeded to get to work on dinner. Dinner? In the morning?!
Chop chop chop…
brown…sizzle…
All in a crockpot with a can of chicken broth & a pack of dried onion soup… set it… & FORGET IT!! 😉
After some work, I decided I needed another snack if I was going to make it through yoga. YOGA?! Yes. I found a new studio a few exits down on the highway. It’s not close, but close enough to check out their community class at noon. So I snacked…
and headed to yoga…
only to find out that the schedule online was for their OTHER location. Argh. No yoga for me.
So I ran errands and picked up lunch before my meeting…
My meeting went great- wahoo!! And a few hours later I was home… and snacky. I guess I was still craving Mexican…
By the way, slow cooker meals have the house smelling great! And dinner was already ready. That was fun 🙂
So last night I enjoyed a bowl of pot roast for dinner…
And helped Hubbs taste test different Christmas spices in his Christmas brew!
And that, my friends, is a day in my life. Not nearly as exciting as you would have guessed? Oh well 😉
What’s your favorite part of the day?
Mine is either early morning when I’m blogging and sipping coffee with my pup at my feet, or in the evening when Hubbs and I curl up on the couch and chat.
Alexa @ The Girl In Chucks says
Your pot roast looks great!
I enjoy that early morning part of the day when I get my coffee and then crawl back into bed with my laptop…or if I’m at my SO’s, the waking up and talking in bed, then drinking coffee with the news on part of the day. Either way, first thing in the morning is my happy time!
Samantha @ Health, Happiness & Skinny Jeans says
My favorite part of the day is right before bed when the Boyfriend and I have a chance to talk about nothing in particular (we are usually so sleepy it doesn’t make sense anyway) but we are just so cozy and comfortable as we drift off to sleep.

All your food looks delish. Major bummer about the yoga. I tend to do that a lot with spin class so much that I actually have given up on it. My husbands friend was actually just over having him test out spices in his christmas brew… I dont know how the spices would relate to christmas unless it was a spicy christmas they were crazy hot spices. Have a fab day!

Koda has a big ole chest! What a strong boy!
Katie @ Healthy Heddleston says
Aww Koda was so cute — looking like a statue in that photo! My favorite part of the day is having a few minutes to myself.. and when John gets home from work!

Love the pot roast! My favorite part is the time I get home from work – when the sun is setting. Something about the drive and just getting home is my alone time that I have learned to really relish!

I think my favorite part of the day is in the morning- when I have some extra time to relax and eat breakfast to start the day, rather than running around in a rush:)
Maria @ Oh Healthy Day says
Set It and Forget It – haha, I love this.
My favorite part of the day is at night when everything is done for the day and its just me and a blanket on the couch or in bed with a book. But I also love my first cup of tea in the mornings.
Sarah @ The Smart Kitchen says
My favorite part of the day on the weekends is coming home after a good workout and drinking my first cup of coffee. 🙂
Generally, my favorite part of the day involves my first cup of coffee.
Melissa says
My favorite part of the day is probably at breakfast when I am not in a rush. I can sit and read blogs, sip hot tea and eat (if only for a few minutes). And then the hustle and bustle of the busy day begins with one thing after the other.

OK this post is awesome! I love your pics. Poor yoga, funny and something that would totally happen to me.
I am geeked over your fabulous festive mailbox. How fun!!

I love the end of the work day! There is nothing like coming home and cozying up with the hubby or getting in a yoga work out to calm down your nerves!
Corey @ the Runner's Cookie says
my favorite part of the day is during my workout or at night when i’m done with work and can relax 🙂

They make Nutella squeeze packs now? :O
I’ve done the same thing before with Yoga! I read the schedule wrong and didn’t realize that my weekly Charity class was canceled to make room for a demonstration/workshop. It was pretty disappointing. Another time I didn’t realize the time had been changed and showed up an hour early. Whoops! (can I blame the language differences? ;))
My favorite part of the day is probably morning as well. I love breakfast, and I love having a couple of hours to myself before getting on with the day.
Mary @ Bites and Bliss says
Ohh that pot roast looks so delicious!! Even though I don’t eat red meat anymore, I distinctly remember pot roast..and your picture does the taste justice. Yum!
