…but not mine. My friend, Cristy is not only is one of the sweetest people I know, but she also has a eye for style in every since of the word. She and her kids always look beautifully pulled together so when the house she and her husband built was finally finished, I knew it would be amazing. She hosted our playgroup yesterday and we all got the official tour.
Now I get it. This is more of a healthy living (mommy?) blog, not an interior design space, but I know you guys dig some beautiful home pictures as much as I do, so I couldn’t help but share. And no worries, Cristy was completely on board. Trust me, I asked more than once (is this weird? Snap!) but I guess if I had a design eye like she does, I would be fine sharing it too. Notice you have not gotten a home tour of my living room.
Ok, Ok, let’s get started. Check this beauty out…
I’m not even going to pretend I know what everything is, but I can point out how much I love the wide plank, dark wood floors and that ceiling! What is that ceiling design called? I don’t know, I just call it gorgeous.
Speaking of gorgeous, I might have audibly squealed when I saw this.
The light fixtures, the counter tops, the TWO fridges (one is a freezer I believe?).
I loved seeing the lighting Cristy picked out for each room. Each fixture was incredibly unique.
If I was redoing my pantry, I would also definitely add in a counter feature. I love that she can keep things like her toaster and coffee maker tucked out of sight.
The ceiling and windows, again, swoon. But see that chandelier to the left…
Amazing.
Do I sound like I’m in awe? Haha. Because I totally am. Cristy and her husband handpicked every detail of their home. He drew it by hand and she designed every inch.
They put their heart, soul and every spare minute into this house and I’m just overjoyed for them that their hard work has finally come to fruition.
Oh, and check out her daughter’s room.
So adorable.
Not only was the house beautiful, but she already had it so pulled together after being in it for less than two weeks. I don’t know how she does it folks!
Thanks so much Cristy for letting me showcase your beautiful new home. Congratulations!!
What is your favorite room in your house?
Do you like to design?
Al says
Well, I am kind of floored -this house is gorgeous. Someone really loves there? There is no clutter or stuff anywhere – I guess since they haven’t been there long nothing has accumulated! (Just jealous).
All the details are truly gorgeous in the home. The lighting, like you said, the flooring, and the overall vibe is beautiful. I can’t even pick a favorite room. I hope one or both of them do this for a living???

I told her that she needs to come use her eye for my house! And that she could totally do this for a living. So beautiful!
Kate says
Thanks for sharing. We are moving in a couple of weeks, so a little interior inspiration is always welcome. 🙂
Love the grey walls in the master bedroom!
Kelly says
Wow! Gorgeous! What are the kitchen countertops? I love them!
Brittany Dixon says
I’m 90% sure they are marble!
Kelli says
What I love most about this house is the simplicity theres not a lot of “stuff” Absolutely gorgeous
Brittany Dixon says
I totally agree. It is inspiring me to declutter my house!
Parita @ myinnershakti says
STUNNING! What a beautiful house! I have zero design sense, so one day when we’re ready to buy/build a house, I’m going to need professional help!
Joanna @Makingmine says
What a gorgeous house! My home is a total “kid house” – everything is designed with them in mind. I would REALLY like to make a few rooms a bit more of an “adult retreat” haha! Maybe when they get a bit older that will be more feasible 😉
Brittany Dixon says
We totally have kids stuff everywhere too! Sometimes it drives me crazy, but I know it’s just this stage of life and it really is most feasible for us right now, as the girls love playing with it all!
Katie says
I am pinning the idea of having a counter in the cupboard, that is genius!!! My parents laundry room has huge windows and a long counter which really helps you A. not mind doing laundry and B. organize clothes by family member once they are clean.
Christine says
Wow! I’m in aw! And so jealous, what a beautiful home! If we had the money I would be decorating all of the time! My favorite room is probably our kitchen but sadly we do not have a pantry which drives me nuts! I didn’t even notice until after we bought the home (first time buyer mistake!) But I love our kitchen and I cannot wait for our son to be done with bottles because they currently take up alot of counter space! (maybe if I had a pantry with a counter top I wouldn’t have that problem…hahaha)
Cassie says
I’m also a sucker for windows. Love a white kitchen!

Whoa! That house is amazing! I definitely don’t have an eye for design, and I think our house needs a lot of work, but one thing I love about our house (and what other people say they love) is how personalized and homey each room is. We don’t have consistent themes, but we aren’t afraid of color and we try to make our home feel like a place that anyone can walk into and feel comfortable in.
Brittany Dixon says
Your house sounds amazing! I love homes with a lot of personal touches. We are working on making more of our decor things that mean a lot to us rather than just stuff we’ve had around forever. I love a cozy/homey room <3
Kiki says
Beautiful home! What I love most is an open flow and feel to a home. The light colors with the dark floors is a nice combo. We recently renovated our kitchen and although I debated if it was a good use of money I am so happy we did. This is where we spend most of our time and we will get every penny’s worth out of it.
Hannah @ CleanEatingVeggieGirl says
Your friend definitely has an eye for design! That kitchen is GORGEOUS and I absolutely love the counter feature in the pantry. Genius!
Jennifer says
My husband needs whatever kind of job hers has so we can afford a house like that!! 🙂 House envy going on over here!
Brittany Dixon says
Haha, for real 🙂 I will say though that they’ve had this house in the works for 10 years, so it has certainly been a labor of love and I’m so happy they finally get to move in and enjoy it!
Morgan @ Morgan Manages Mommyhood says
That house is gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. Though, I have to admit that I’m looking through the pictures and thinking .. that’s a LOT to clean.
liz says
It’s a very beautiful house. They are extremely privileged to be able to spend their time and such amounts of money on their home.
Giselle says
WOW! That kitchen! The fireplace and oh my goodness that bathroom is gorgeous! Major house envy over here!!!!
Liz @ I Heart Vegetables says
That house is a DREAM HOME! I love love love it. And I think the cool ceilings like that are called tray ceilings? Trey? I’m not sure, haha. But I love the way it looks! And that KITCHEN!
Brittany Dixon says
You sounds like me ha! So I think the square ceiling is coffered and the bedroom ceiling are tray/trey? 😉
Julie says
BEYOND gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing! Love looking at other people’s homes – especially when they’re designed/decorated so beautifully.
Laura @ Semi-Vegetarian.com says
Holy wow! This house is amazing. I’m totally drooling over her kitchen and pantry. Also, worth noting that girlfriend has, like, 842 bananas on the counter? 😛
Brittany Dixon says
Haha I know! I asked the same thing. They are for her church- she packs meals for kids 🙂
Erin @ Her Heartland Soul says
What an absolutely gorgeous house!! That kitchen!!! Please thank your friend for sharing it with us. 🙂

Loved this post! I’m saving a picture of her kitchen in my folder for future renovation ideas. Those hard wood floors are on point too!!
Johanna says
Love the pantry and the kitchen of course. Great lighting. Lighting to me is such a big part of design because it can change the feel of a whole room. That bathroom though….wow. LOVE <3
Emily says
Beautiful! I actually really love her paper towel holder in our kitchen too (I’ve been looking for a nice one!) do you happen to know where she bought it?
Brittany Dixon says
I just asked her! BallardDesign.com – she says they have a magazine too 🙂

Thanks for the inspirations.

This house is so pretty! Iespecially love how open and clean the kitchen looks! I love the hardwood floors, it is so difficult to even begin to think of how to decorate a room, much less a an entire house! It looks absolutely fantastic, thanks for sharing!
