Happy Friday all! I must start today’s post with this amazing picture that you might have already seen.
That was yesterday evening in NYC, as a rainbow appeared to originate from the World Trade Center on the eve of 9/11. It gave me chills and is a beautiful to reminder of remembrance and hope. Simply amazing.
I also wanted to thank you guys for all the love and kind words on Wednesday’s post. You better believed I showed it to David! Ok, let’s get going.
What I’ve Been Eating
Honestly this week has been a little crazy with a lot going on and a birthday party to plan so my meals have been all over the place.
Homemade burgers with sauteed mushroom and onions with swiss cheese.
A girls night in dinner where I dove head first into spinach and artichoke dip and my favorite current hummus- Roots’ Mango Sriracha (amazing!).
And my typical breakfast. I keep wanting to try something new, but when I wake up my body just craves toast, avocado and egg with red pepper flakes.
And last night we waved the white flag and at out at Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, only Hailey refuses to call it that. She says it sounds mean and insists on calling it Good Daddy’s. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and tot because their tots are out of this world.
What We’ve Been Up To
The big news would be the girls started back at school a couple mornings a week!
So far they both love it. No tears, not even a single one from Kaitlyn which is nice and all, but a little emotion about leaving mom for the first time wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world baby girl.
Whole Foods stole my heart again with their plethora of samples for the girls and $0.25 coffee for the month of September. Locals, get on it!
Despite the look of the picture, it’s a full size cup. I just must have monstrous hands.
In other news, I think I can finally say with confidence that Kaitlyn has mastered eating yogurt with a spoon.
In sadder news, we had a last girls night all together to celebrate Leah (third from the left) who is moving to Pittsburgh.
We’ve been all getting together weekly for over 3 YEARS, when all our oldest kids were itty bitty babies. Sniffle. Watch out PA, this awesome girl and her fabulous sense of home design is headed your way!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Love that Hailey is calling it Good Daddy’s. What a sweetheart! And I would love to put Kaitlyn and Jay in a room together and just watch. I think they would make quite a fiesty pair!

Kaitlyn is so adorable! That’s how yogurt eating should be.
I’ll never forget that day. I was in fifth grade and could see the smoke from a high hilltop where my school was in the suburbs. We can never forge,t b hopefully we can learn from it as we move forward.
