I love Dropbox. It’s how I keep track and sort all my photos. It’s especially helpful since we have Lightroom only on the “big” computer, but I do most things from my laptop and phone. I can easily upload photos and access them from everywhere, plus share vacation pictures and such with friends and family. No, this is not an ad for dropbox, ha.
Throughout the week I snap photos or screen shots then upload them to a specific “catch all” folder for later use in posts. Sometime pictures accumulate without being used. I was scrolling through them and realized they didn’t really go together in a cohesive post, but I could share them under the guise of a life lately post. Because you know I can’t go a second without documenting and oversharing life, right?
Like this moment:
I always take pictures of what we are doing during our days, but really some of my favorite moments are like the ones above. It was just an ordinary morning, eating breakfast with the girls and I thought to myself- I love this. I grabbed my phone to quickly snap a shot of the ordinary moment that made me extraordinarily happy. Breakfast is like the calm before the crazy in our days.
In other news, David and I sneaked away for a mid-week impromptu date night to GhostFace Brewing.
Local friends, this place is great! It’s in downtown Mooresville and kind of tucked away by itself, but the beer is excellent!
Take the brew master’s advice and try the Saison. That and the Hefeweizen were my favorites. Davidson Pizza Company, which is located inside, is delicious. We also talked with Troy, the owner, for a while and he’s a great guy who is working his tail off. Quite impressive.
That pizza in front nearly did me in with its spice level, and that’s saying a lot because I love spicy foods. Besides the Serrano and jalapeno peppers, the sausage is infused with ghost peppers. Ay-yi-yi!
Nothing a cold beer can’t help though.
Unrelated: I’m embracing my waves more lately (using this stuff my stylist recommended for when I let it air dry) and it’s been a life-saver in this humidity.
I also watched a friend’s girls this week and they were just the cutest. They all picked herbs from the yard and tomatoes from the garden, then used it as the centerpiece of the tea party.
The wouldn’t let me help then came to “invite” me. I even had my name written on a napkin. I felt like such an honored guest!
In less cute news, this one is fighting being in her crib HARD.
The only reason she hasn’t climbed out is because I threaten her that she will get a BIG boo boo. Stellar parenting? Probably not. We’re working on figuring out how to switch her to a big girl bed sooner than later. And if you need me, I’ll be in the corner crying big fat alligator tears that I have no further use for a crib.
Watching our girls grow is the most magnificent thing, but every milestone sure pulls at my heartstrings.
In less sappy happenings, please just look at this picture my friend took on his trip to Canada recently. He set the camera up on a timer outside his hotel window and snapped this gem.
First of all, that scenery. Woah. Add Lake Louise to my “want to visit” list stat. But secondly, that squirrel! I could not stop laughing.
Two more things, then I’m done, I promise.
I love snapchat, and when Gaby shared a snap on making the ultimate cheese plate, I had to take a screen shot. I plan on trying recreate this at our next gathering. Isn’t it gorgeous?!
And finally, Sarah shared a brilliant concept on instagram the other day.
She wrote down what an ideal day would look like. Not shoot-for-the-moon ideal (like a full spa day then flying to New York for dinner), but a realistic, day-to-day ideal. I plan on doing this soon (and posting about it perhaps?) because I think it’s a great exercise in visualization and organization.
Ok, I’ve typed your ear (eyes?) off for today. Here’s a fun task though—
Look at the last picture on your camera roll then tell me in the comments what it is!
I think a camera roll can tell a lot about a person’s life!
Have a great weekend! I’ll actually be in Charleston with some girlfriends (WHOOP!) and will be sure to share all about it on Monday!

Haha my last camera roll pic was of a weird after dinner snack where I was trying to hit my macros so it was strawberries a scoop of sunflower seed butter and a crap ton of avocado with salt! #macrotetris

Omg can’t believe K is about to climb out. My 2 1/2yo son does the leg on top too and I tell him he will get an ouchie plus I think he may be too short. I hope he stays in his crib forever. Love the ideal day idea and would love to see it.
My last pic is my son dancing at a friends party.

Love your hair. Wish I could do waves, but my hair is board straight always. Won’t hold a bit of curl. I also love your dropbox tip. I’ve been using it for years, but it’s just one big folder of pictures. One of my favorite pictures on my camera roll right now is my 5 year old daughter head first in our dryer with her legs sticking straight out trying to find her new gymnastics leotard.

My last thing on my camera roll is a video of my 2 kids (ages 3.5 yrs and 16 months) giggling together while eating dinner last night. ❤️
I also plop pics from my phone into Dropbox but my folder seems to fill up so fast. Do you pay for extra storage?
Have a great weekend!

Mine is a pic of my parents on vacation in Alaska that I saved down from FB because they just look so happy!
On another note, I wanted to share this recipe I stumbled across as I feel like our tastes are kind of similar and I loved this for a new twist on regular roasted sweet potatoes. Used half the called amount of clove and ended up putting that sauce on just about everything I ate all week!

My son started climbing out of the crib at 22 months, so we switched him to a toddler bed for his safety (and so he could get back in on his own after climbing out and realizing it wasn’t time to get up).
My last pic is one of my son (now 25 months) with his Grandma pretending to sleep in their guest bed, they were both making snoring sounds… it was a sweet moment 🙂

Oh my, that cheese plate looks amazing! I think I need to make one this weekend!
The last picture on my phone is of my oldest (13) playing with our dog. It’s a sweet photo that makes me see him as a little boy still! And here come the tears!

Wow, I’ve never seen such a scheduled ideal day. ha! I think my ideal day would be about half as long as hers.
That tea party the girls did with their friends is SO cute!
The last photo on my camera roll is of my mom, aunt, and cousin from Monday night’s paintnite event. It was so much fun and awesome to do something out of the ordinary on a week night!

I love that picture where the squirrel popped in! haha

Haha, sometimes those random photos that I end up looking through later are my favorite. The last snap on my camera roll is… actually a skirt. My life is revolving around my new LuLaRoe venture, so I took a picture of a really cute skirt to send to someone.

Lol the last picture on my camera is a screenshot of what the weather will be next Sunday for my bridal shower! I love all these pics of yours!

I love the photos you posted! I love going back and looking through all of my photos too and E loves to look at pics before she goes to bed, so I get to just take a relaxed moment to think about the pics I took. My most recent photo is one my husband took and sent to me last night. He was putting Will down to bed last night and Will found his sunglasses he got for Easter and had put them on. He was just laughing so hard in the photo! It’s not really centered, but it’s perfect b/c it shows how happy he is!

My last photo on my phone is my 23 m/o daughter in her jammies brushing her doll’s teeth before bed. I guess I didn’t decide to photograph the epic battle that is brushing her own teeth every night 😉

My last photo was theee best vegetable vindaloo from an Indian restaurant on Wed night. No matter how hard I try, my homemade Indian just never tastes as authentic. Holy yum <3
Love that you take pictures of random moments. I'm sure they will always be fun to look back at as your girls get older!

“I think a camera roll can tell a lot about a person’s life!” Ha ha you may have hit the nail on the head there! 😛 My significant other is moving out in a couple weeks. My last pic is one I snapped quickly last wknd as I was making his grandma’s banana bread – it’s a pic of the little notecard she wrote the recipe on… I figured it will go w/ him when he leaves, & I want to make sure I have that recipe! 😉

My last picture is of my uncle holding my two month old when she visited his house for the first time in Brunswick last night on our way to Jekyll. She is sucking her thumb in the picture bad habit I know but it’s so cute!
