I have no doubt y’all have seen this survey, as it’s been popping up on a ton of blogs lately. Personally I love reading these, largely because I just love people and learning more about them. Nosy? Perhaps. Either way, it makes for a fun Friday post, even more so if you play along and pick one to answer in the comments. It’s so much fun for me to get to know you too! Ok, here we go…
A – Age: 31
B – Biggest Fear: If we are talk true, deep biggest fear, it’s dying young. The idea of not being to grow old with David and watch the girls grow up is just unfathomable. I think it’s partially why I love learning and talking about health so much. I know I can’t control all circumstances, but anything I can control, I want to do my best with.
If that’s too deep this early on, then I’ll go with spiders. Because… creepy.
C – Current Time: 6:27 a.m.
D – Drink You Had Last: Water, a few minutes ago. Before that, a whiskey cocktail created by the bartender at Kindred. (Date night last night!)
E – Easiest Person To Talk To: David.
F – Favorite Song: Favorite catchy one lately is the Honey I’m Good– have you seen the music video? It’s adorable! Though I love all types of music, I will say that the one song that makes me stop, close my eyes and jam with it every single time is Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror. Or this version of Waving Flag. Gosh, I love music.
G – Grossest Memory: Nothing comes to mind. Gas station bathrooms?
H – Hometown: Kennesaw, Georgia. I lived in the same house from when I was 2 until I left for college!
I – In Love With: My family. Good food. Traveling.
J – Jealous Of: Though moments surely pop up, overall I am not a jealous person. Rock on with all the awesome stuff you have going on!
K – Kindest Person You Know: My mom. The woman does everything for everyone and does it with a smile on her face.
L – Life Isn’t Complete Without: Long talks with loved ones. I get the greatest joy out of a glass of wine (or two) and sitting down with family and friends to just talk about life.
Also, chips and salsa.
M – Middle Name: Ann, which is also my grandmother’s first name, my mom’s middle name and Hailey’s middle name.
N – Number of Siblings: 1 awesome bro who I don’t see nearly as often as I’d like to.
O – One Wish: Health for myself and my family so that we may have the opportunity to work towards and realize all these crazy dreams that we have.
P – Person You Spoke To On The Phone Last: My mom
Q – Question You’re Always Asked: I hate to copycat off Jen’s answer here, but the exact same thing is true for me– “What are you?” Really, I’ve always been asked what my ethnicity is. It used to happen more often when I was tan during summer, but with melanoma in the family, tans are no longer my thing. To answer the question though, I’m Greek (my dad’s side- Stathas was my maiden name) and Irish (from my mom’s side- Kilpatrick- and my dad’s side- McCary).
R – Reason To Smile: It’s pizza Friday!
S – Song You Last Sang: Oh Mr. Johnny KaBeck how could you be so mean… though I had to make up half the words. David sings it to Hailey yet she insisted I try to sing it. I don’t think she’ll do that again.
T – Time You Woke Up: 6:15 am – sleeping in on a Friday!
U – Underwear Color: Yeah, let’s change this to University. University of Georgia! I love my dawgs and am already getting excited about football season!
V – Vacation Destination: Gosh I want to go so many places! Towards the top of my list is the Greek Isles (though maybe not at this moment). I’d also love to see New Zealand, bike ride through vineyards in Spain and visit San Francisco. Oh! And Seattle. Ok, see, too many to name. I’d go anywhere.
W – Worst Habit: Oversharing? Rambling? Leaving the last load of laundry in the dryer? Take your pick.
X – X-Rays You’ve Had: Only the ones at the dentist come to mind. I’ve never broken a bone (::knocks on wood and chews up a calcium::)
Y – Your Favorite Food: Oh man, you know I can’t choose just one! Chips and salsa, goat cheese, scallops and crab, real tomatoes…
Z – Zodiac Sign: Virgo, though I’ve never really known much about astrology.
Share some of your ABCs with me!
Lee says
Next time you visit Kennesaw, we should get the kiddos together and have a glass of wine and some chips and salsa – my favorites too.
Brittany Dixon says
Sounds like a plan! We can discuss fun topics like baby weight gain struggles! 😉

I blogged about this survey a few weeks ago and definitely went deep on my biggest fear. I’m afraid of anyone close to me dying. It’s always been a fear of mine, and something I need to get over somehow because it’s inevitable… How’s that for deep?!
On a lighter note, GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!
Brittany Dixon says
I’m terrified of anyone close to me dying too. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have so many people close to me live long, healthy lives and I definitely don’t take that for granted.
But yes, GO DAWGS! 🙂
Heather says
Love that K’Naan song!!! Perfect Friday morning song!!
Brittany Dixon says
YES! It jazzed me up this morning too 🙂
John J. says
Kindest person: your Mom, my wife.
Haley says
Thank you for sharing your biggest fear, I too am scared of dying young and not being able to fully experience what life has in store for me. On a lighter note….
You are quickly becoming my favorite blogger to follow!! We share the same middle name! And I share the same first and middle name with your daughter! Too funny 🙂 Have a great weekend
Brittany Dixon says
Heyyyy thanks Haley!! Your parents must have great taste on choosing names 😉 Happy Friday!!
Katy @ Have You Hurd? says
My cousins live in Kennesaw! I was born in Macon – I love GA 🙂
Brittany Dixon says
One of my best friends lives in Macon! I’ll be headed down that was soon when she has her baby. Such a cute town/city!
Ashley says
For some reason these answers made me tear up – sheesh. Hormones. You can’t talk about dying young and then how awesome your mom is this early in the morning. I can’t take it. 🙂
Heather says
I love these – it’s always fun to see how people answer these questions! I think I’m going to steal this idea for my post today… Ha ha. 😉
Cassie says
Y- Your favorite food: peanut butter all the way!
Brynn says
That is definitely my biggest fear as well. My middle name is Kristine and I am a Scorpio!
Elizabeth E says
Y: your fav food? Pizza! I love it & could eat it everyday. My favorite is Antico (capricciosa is my fave but love them all) & we eat at Mellow Mushroom almost every Friday.

Biggest fear, since we are getting deep here- my children being abducted. I had two attempted abductions as a child and they haunt me to this day. Yesterday I went to do a goodnight check on my daughter before I went to sleep and she wasn’t in her room. Turns out she snuck into her brothers bed and I didn’t see her but the panic…oh man.
Favorite food-does coffee count? please let it count!
Brittany Dixon says
Oh my gosh yes, child abductions I just can’t even imagine. We have cameras around our house and I check them religiously before bed each night. Such a scary thought!
And yes, coffee totally counts 😉
Alyssa @ Renaissancerunnergirl says
I think my biggest fear is somewhat similar to yours – having something happen to me before I have a chance to get married, have a family, and just do all the things I want to in life!
On a lighter note, favorite food has to be berries and ice cream (or strawberry ice cream)!
Melanie says
Phew! I’m not the only one who habitually leaves that last load of laundry in the dryer! (sheepishly going to get it now… haha 🙂
Desiree says
Hi Brittany, I am a new blog reader and I have really enjoyed your blog. I made your zucchini bread (yum) and have adopted the grocery shop and pizza Friday. I actually live in Villa Rica, GA in a lake community also. I go to Kennesaw all the time and love running Kennesaw Mountain. My 15 year old daughter is eyeing UGA as her first choice for school. She has been to a number of band camps there. OK my biggest fear is snakes, and yes I almost stepped on one yesterday in my back yard!!!
Brittany Dixon says
I miss Kennesaw Mountain! My mom used to take us hiking there when we were growing up- great spot! If your daughter has any questions about UGA, feel free to have her email me, though, spoiler alert, I will gush about how much I loved it 🙂 Thanks so much for reading and sharing your facts with me too- so much fun to read!
Ruth says
I’m a Virgo too! When’s your birthday? I’m September 2nd 🙂
And greatest fear is the same. The thought of not being around with my family scares me. They are my world.
Brittany Dixon says
I’m September 20th and Hailey is the 15th! 🙂
Erin @ Her Heartland Soul says
This was a fun survey! I loved learning more about you! My greatest fear is dying young too. My mom died at 25 and I’m turning 25 next month!
I also don’t really get jealous. I get excited seeing other people succeed!
Jen says
I watched some of your periscope yesterday – You have the most beautiful hair!
Brittany Dixon says
Oh my gosh that is so nice of you! My hair gives me the biggest fits, as it is super thick and wavy, so that was one of the nicest things you could have said 🙂
Elisa says
Haha! Grossest memory was definitely a funny one! My sister and her young kids came up to visit and she helped snake my very disgusting shower drain. The smell of rotting hair was horrific. But my niece made the most hilarious drawing of the experience. Still cracks me up!
Christine says
B- Biggest Fear: Would have to be dying a horrible death..like drowning. I hope for a quick death.
F- Favorite Food: Gosh this is a toss up! Chips and Salsa (and guac) with a margarita on the rocks is up there! along with cheeseburgers, wine and anything with cheese!
T- Time you woke up: 530am! I do hope my 9month old learns how to sleep past 6am some day! Yet again, he takes two great naps a day and he goes to sleep at 7pm and sleeps through the night so I guess I have to pick my battles
W-Worst habit: Not putting caps or covers on things properly. (i.e. liquid laundry detergent that ended up spilling all over my husband car! At least is smelled good?…) I do hate taking the laundry out of the dryer too, haha
Brittany says
Man in the mirror is so my jam!
Biggest fear is the same as yours (thought about that on the way to work this morning). University is also the same as yours. So ready for September 5!
F: My favorite food is a low country boil!
Julia @ Lord Still Loves Me says
Pizza Friday is always a reason to smile! Also, I cracked up that 6:15 am is sleeping in. You are one amazing woman, Brittany! Have a wonderful weekend. 🙂
Heather@hungryforbalance says
Favorite food: hummus or goat cheese or hummus on goat cheese!
I am also a Virgo. We are supposedly very sensitive.
My middle name is Michelle.
<3 Have a great weekend!
Brittany Dixon says
Supposed to be sensitive? Well shoot, then I am the epitome of a virgo. Super sensitive! Thanks for the info 🙂
sherry says
You make me so happy. You are an amazing, loving, caring, giving, young woman. And your post today brought tears of happiness and proudness (is that a word??) to my eyes. So proud to be your mom!
Aunt Lynn says
I agree with you on K. Kindest person I know, your mom, my sister and friend.
Jennifer says
i love reading these too. I like to think I’m not being too nosy, lol! My husband would say my worst habit is not putting dishes right into the dishwasher. If it just one dish, I’ll wait until a few are there. I also have routine times that I do that chore. But I would say, I sometimes leave the last load in the dryer, and have to re-dry it again to get the wrinkles out.
