Thank you for all you supportive comments on yesterday’s post! It’s always easier to be kinder to your body when you’re focusing on health and strength, rather than a certain body type or size. I hope you all baked a cake full of rainbows and sunshine gave yourself a hug along with me yesterday! Speaking of yesterday (Thanks JENN for hosting!)…
It began with a Chobani yogurt bowl with my LOVE and half a banana.
A few carrots dunked (because dunks are more substantial than dips) in hummus was the perfect snack before hitting the road for a full day! First stop? FERN. I think I’m in love.
I picked up a couple of Buddha Bowls for Caitlin and myself. Then I got to hold and snuggle sweet little Henry! Did I mention he smiled at me? I stand by my claim. So precious! Hailey wasn’t sure about my divided attention, though…
So she rebelled by turning into a baby tornado.
New moms just love when visitors stop by and destroy their house, right? Thought so.
A fun thing about being in the city is getting to check off my to-do list at different spots, like Trader Joe’s! I also grabbed some sushi for a snack.
Then I met David and namaste’d. It had been two weeks.
It felt SO good. David’s parents met us back at the house, where, like any gracious host, I set out some appetizers.
Don’t you love my presentation? Chips and Jack’s Salsa (it’s da’ bomb) and cherries!
Dinner was pretty fancy, too, clearly. Black bean cheese burger. We decided to go bananas after dinner (thanks, again DOLE!) and grilled some up.
David’s dad and I agreed. They tasted like a hot banana. Who woulda thunk it?! Tasty, though, especially with a plethora of whipped cream and cinnamon.
Speaking of bananas, the Yonanas winner is…
Congrats Kimberly!

I discovered a very sinful way to eat bananas the other week when I was cleaning up the sundae bar from Miles’ first birthday party. Banana + PB + Oreo crumbs. Yes, tis awesome.

LOVE Jack’s salsa! I can’t find it in California, but at the same time, it’s made in Michigan… wouldn’t be as fresh.

Oh my gosh, it’s SO darn good, isn’t it? I need to find a place I can buy it by the gallon. Then I’ll send you some, too 🙂

Glad you got to get some much needed yoga in! Grilled bananas sounds awesome!! I’ve tried frying them in a pan with coconut oil, which is pretty darn tasty as well.
