I know, I know, I can’t start saying ‘I’m stillllllll pregnant’ yet. I still have 2 weeks and 6 days until my official due date, but sometimes I feel like this child could pop out at any minute 🙂
Breakfast
…was enjoyed al fresco! The mornings have felt amazing here, so I finally enjoyed a little outside time without wanting to go jump in the lake. Koda liked the bonus playtime, too!
Breakfast was 1/2 a whole wheat Thomas bagel, toasted with a thin schmear of veggie cream cheese. Then I topped it with some baby spinach leaves and an egg that was scrambled with onions, peppers and spinach. A cup of decaf of the side with Breve Cream.

Chobani Champions were on sale at the grocery store, so I’ve resorted back to Honey-nana with chia seeds, served by the awesome diaper cake Hubb’s work partner, Jackie, made for Baby D!
and a bit later across town… a tiny apple, too!

Lunch
Nothing too fancy- a romaine and spinach salad with peppers, onion and cucumber, topped with a Morningstar Farms veggie burger and a drizzle of Newman’s Light Balsamic, of course. Love that dressing!
Clearly that wasn’t enough to satiate me for long, so I threw in a PB&J half bagel, too. PB&J mixed prior to application… as if there is any other way!

Puffins! They didn’t have the peanut butter variety, but the plain still offer a satisfying crunch. With organic 2% milk. I’ve loved milk lately.

Dinner
An odd, but delicious, combo. I pounded some chicken and topped it with a mixture of goat cheese, bacon, scallions and spinach, then baked it in the oven until cooked through and the cheese was melty. Served with the Summer Vegetable Barley Salad and oven baked sweet potato fries. YUM.

I continued my new nightly tradition of 2 cups of raspberry leaf tea (it helps strengthen the uterus for easier delivery!)
I ate my Juice Plus Gummies and split the last Snicker’s Ice Cream bar with Hubbs. Those are dangerous things to have around the house 😉

What is your favorite ice cream treat?
Do you prefer a bowl? A bar? A cone?
I usually like cones, but these Snickers Bars are quickly rising to the top!
Cait @ Beyond Bananas says
Ahhh I used to have those snickers ice cream bars when I was younger. I completely forgot about them.. and how delicious they are!
I love how you mix your PB and J before applying, I’ve never done that!
Morgan @ Some Kind of Someshine says
Those Snickers bars are so good! Very dangerous. Also, that dinner looks really good and I can’t wait to try that summer salad. Have a good day!
Tiff @ Love, Sweat, and Beers says
I’ve only had one Snickers Ice Cream bar (many years ago), but I still dream about it!
Kristin @ eat healthy. be happy. live well says
I love a good ice cream cone, but because of my wheat intolerance, I haven’t had one in forever!!! I just stick to a traditional bowl now, which is just as delicious 🙂
RhodeyGirl says
I love the presentation of dinner!
Kiah says
When I was studying abroad in Ghana, snickers ice cream bars were one of the only American foods I could get a hold of–I was addicted! They really are surprisingly delicious 🙂
Michelle {lively kitchen} says
I am rather in love with Dove Dark Chocolate Ice Cream bars. I have to space out my purchases, as I’ll finish the 3 bar box in 3 days. I had my last one last night and am pondering taking both kids to the store today to pick up another box. 🙂
I remember that Raspberry Leaf tea. It’s pretty good iced too. Have you bought some of the Mother’s Milk tea? I went through a lot of that, post birth of course.
Jen says
Everything looks great! How far along were you when you started drinking the raspberry tea?
We have been dining outside too! This weather is so unbelievable.
Kelli H (Made in Sonoma) says
mmmm…great eats! Especially that breakfast! I wish I had more time in the morning for something like that.
I definitely like my ice cream in a bowl but sometimes a cone is just fun!
Liz @ IHeartVegetables says
That barley salad looks delicious! I’d love to try that. It looks healthy and refreshing.
I’m sure you’re ready for that baby to come out! 🙂 I’m excited for you!
Michelle @ The Cooking Life says
Gahhh! I’m just so excited for you!!
To answer your question, I love eating ice cream in a bowl. Chocolate or vanilla ice cream, mixed with nuts and granola (or cereal) with chocolate chips. Love love LOVE this combination!
Kristen @ Swanky Dietitian says
Love your blog!
That chicken topping sounds amazing! Can’t ever go wrong with goat cheese.
Those snickers ice cream bars are delicious, but dangerous like you said.
I love cookie dough ice cream. It is my weakness. 🙂
Graze With Me says
Raspberry leaf tea is AMAZING, I used it as a last resort to help get my cycle back after going off BC and after two days and 6 cups I was back to normal. One month later I was pregnant! Love that stuff. I already have a stash to start drinking in a couple weeks.
Kate @ NaturaStride says
Woah. I have never heard of this “mixing PB with the jelly before application” thing before. This totally blew my mind. Can’t wait to try ASAP!
Great chicken dinner idea – always looking for new ways to cook chicken. Thanks!
Susan @ Real Life Travels says
You had to go and ask this question … um everything! I love me some ice cream. I prefer cup / bowl. I also love cookies and cream 🙂
Melissa @ Be Not Simply Good says
Uh oh, those sweet potatoes are making me hunger for fall. I do like fall, but it seems like summer just got here!
Becky @ Fit Chick on the Fly says

Katie @ Pop Culture Cuisine says
I love pretty much every ice cream treat, but sugar cones with a big ol’ scoop are my fav…especially during my pregnancy 😉
Erica says
You are SO close! Very exciting 🙂 Delicious day of eats. I want those fries. Honey nana is one of the best chobani flavors!! I usually like my ice cream in a bowl.
Paulina says
Ohmygosh! Now I really really want an ice cream bar for lunch, thanks. I didn’t know that raspberry leaf tea helps strengthen the uterus. I have a box of that same stuff in my pantry just collecting dust, I used to drink it during my period to help with cramps etc…but stopped when I became pregnant. Good to know!
Lauren B says
My favorite ice cream treat would be vanilla bean ice cream or frozen yogurt topped with crumbled cookies or chocolate candy bars. Definitely in a bowl! I don’t feel rushed to eat it and can savor it fully (rather than quickly eating a dripping cone!). Have a great day!
Lauren says
I will always and forever be a vanilla ice cream and peanut butter kind of girl. I blame my mom for feeding it to me as a child 🙂 That dinner looks gorgeous.
Alyssa @ Life of bLyss says
is it weird I’ve never pre-mixed pb & j before applying it to something? how does it taste that way?!
Holly @ The Runny Egg says
I love Snickers ice cream bars! Although, I’d rather just have a Snickers bar or a bowl of ice cream.
I have never mixed the PB and J prior to application — I need to try it!
Jen says
i am addicted to ice cream…seriously…it is a staple in our freezer. i usually just go with a bowl but love a waffle cone for a special treat.
dinner looks ah-mazing! 🙂
Rachel @ Not Rachael Ray says
This made me SO hungry! I love Snicker’s ice cream bars, they are the best!
Jenny (Fit Girl Foodie) says
I still haven’t tried Puffins! I need to get my hands on it
Brooke @ Veggie Table says
This entire post is making me drool on my keyboard! I’ve been missing veggie eggs here lately and what is this about PEANUT BUTTER Puffins?! I haven’t seen those around here, darn it! I can’t believe you are so close to your due date – yay!!!!
Maria says
Babies need ice cream. It’s a proven fact. I saw some super cute maternity photos where the mom was simply relaxing on the sofa with a pint of Ben and Jerry’s. I’m sooo doing that when the time comes 🙂
Fave ice cream: a bowl of homemade grapenut. Nothing else compares.
p.s. whenever I don’t see any activity from you on twitter, I wonder if you are going in labor. You are keeping me in suspense.
Amanda @ the beauty notebooks says
Wow, you have a Vizsla, too! I have grown up with Vizslas in my family, and I love them so much. Our current one’s name is Buddy. He is six years old, but he still acts like a puppy. I am so glad I found your blog! 🙂
Roz@weightingfor50 says
I can’t wait to “meet” Baby D on your blog. And I LOVE the picture of Koda and the giant stick! So fun. Hang in Brittany, you’re almost there!!!!
