Gosh you guys, I can’t even tell you how much I loved reading your comments on yesterday’s post. It was really comforting to hear that I’m not the only one that has mommy amnesia!
I had so many random topics bouncing around my head this morning so I decided could bring them all together by numbering them. Because that makes for a coherent post, right? Sure, let’s just go with that…
ONE
Keeping up with growing kids is tough. One day Hailey has a closet full of clothes and the next, not a single thing fits her… like not one single thing. So this past week I stocked up on a few items through ThredUP. If you haven’t tried this online consignment yet, you should. The prices are great and they always thoroughly check for quality. I’ve bought a Kate Spade wallet for myself, as well as clothes for the girls… where it’s tempting to mark brand: Hanna Andersson and just shop from there…
I also snagged a few well-priced new items including these Target rash guard bathing suit sets and these Old Navy swimsuits. The girls are in swim lessons every week and new suits were needed. Plus we just booked a family vacation that I’m PUMPED about, so bring on the rash guards!
Also, yes, I am pushing for another year of matching… I’ve officially become that mom.
Kaitlyn’s tutu — she is obsessed with it and twirls whenever she puts it on.
Finally I snagged a couple of these Henley Tee Dresses that I wish came in every color of the rainbow. They are perfect dresses for everyday play wear and they look so sweet on the girls. Plus, the price is right!
TWO
Let’s talk food! I was feeling the need to switch things up this week and tried Jen’s Pad Thai recipe.
Picture from instagram.
Holy smokes you guys, it is delicious and came together more quickly than I anticipated! Not that I’m surprised, as I can always count of Jen’s recipes being great. I highly suggest putting it on your must try list.
Now I’m eyeing these buffalo chicken sandwiches that Julie raved about- yum!
THREE
I picked up these Dorot frozen cubes from Whole Foods and I’m in love!
I always end up with leftover ginger going bad after I use the little I need for a recipe, but these frozen cubes mean I can keep fresh herbs and spices ready to go in my freezer. Each cube is equal to 1 tsp. Aren’t these cool?!

6 Tips for Finding Balance as a Work at Home Mom by Amber at Mommy’s Me Time. Honestly it’s still challenging for me to refer to my blog as work since I love it so much that it feels like a fun hobby. However, it is work (just with a positive connotation!) and I found these tips helpful,
10 Places to Take a Bored Toddler in Charlotte by The Charlotte Agenda. I never knew about #5 but want to check it out soon. We did hit up our favorite, #1, this week though!
Locals, or people wanting to visit Charlotte, if you aren’t signed up for the Charlotte Agenda newsletter, you should be! It’s a must read for me everyday now and I feel so informed as to what is going on around the city.

I quite literally lol’d when I read the following:
How true is that?! I love Micheal Cera.
And finally, this quote from Jillian Michael’s.
Amen.

Sitting here eating one of your breakfast burritoes and thinking that the Pad Thai recipe looks delicious. I love the girls matching! Can’t wait to hear about the planned vacation!

The one about Michael Cera… too true!
Man, I know my Mom would have been all over something like Thred Up. She went to the flea market quite frequently because there was an OshKosh seller!

Love those Dorot cubes! I always have a few in my freezer 🙂
And I need to try Jen’s Pad Thai recipe. It’s been on my to make list for a while.
Have a great weekend!

Those ginger cubes are really smart! Ginger actually never goes bad in my house, because I love ginger tea in the winter – keeps me warm. But finely mincing ginger for a curry while keeping a toddler occupied….? No, not always manageable. 😉
Have a great weekend!
Stephanie says
The frozen cubes!!! Are those just in the freezer section at Whole Foods? Do they have anything else? I always waste half the bunch of parsley too!
Cait says

Those frozen cubes are genius. I’ve been meaning to try ThredUp for a while now but haven’t gotten around to it. I feel like it would be a good excuse to get some new clothes 🙂

I have been loving Thred Up lately! Although I haven’t technically bought anything from them, I have been sending bags of clothes in. I love that they provide shipping and then keep the clothes even if they don’t intend on selling them!

Sara @ Oats & Rows says
Love that Jillian Michaels quote! I have yet to try ThredUP but it has been on my to-do list. Charlotte Agenda = the best!
Morgan @ Morgan Manages Mommyhood says
I saw that Michael Cera thing a while ago and DIED. It’s so true though! And girl, if you can, match those little girls until they’re 18. It is too darn cute. Since I’m having 2 boys, I keep telling my husband that I don’t care if we have hand me downs from Ryan, these boys WILL match.
Julie says
Gosh, I always love your posts! Love that Jillian Michaels quote! And I’d never heard of frozen herb cubes! Genius! Can’t wait to go grab some.
Sara says
ThredUp sounds awesome. I’m going to check it out. I also really need to find those Dorot cubes.
Have a great weekend!

Oh my I agree with so much of this post! Kids growth spurts are ridiculous! Not only do I feel like I’m having to buy clothes all the time but holy moly my kid is an endless pit lately! I literally picked up those exact same frozen herbs from Whole Foods this week. Great minds think alike! Mom life and working at home is definitely tough! AND I only have one kiddo. Well, for now. I’m sure things are going to drastically change in a few months when number two arrives! Have a great weekend!

I love those quotes. Those cube herbs are brilliant! I’m going to track them down, because I’m always wasting them too. And next, I’m checking out ThredUp. Thanks for all the shares!
