I don’t know about calling daylight savings “springing” forward. Yes, I get it, what a cute little pun, but to me, it’s more like stumbling.
So here I sit on a Monday morning trying to get my mind right for the week after a jam-packed weekend. It’s amazing what a difference 1 hour and a busy schedule can make. But back to the weekend…
Hubbs and I left Thursday for Atlanta. One of my friends I’ve known since 6th grade was getting married and I was honored to be a bridesmaid! We stayed with Hubbs’ family, which is always a blast, as they have 4 of the cutest kids I’ve ever known!
Friday I got busy with wedding events, starting with the bridal luncheon…
It was at the cutest place called Sun in My Belly. What are the umbrellas and rainboots? The super cute gift that Michelle, the bride, gave us- what a precious idea, right?
And the food was GOOD.
Oh yes, red velvet cupcakes… delish!!
After the bruncheon we did nails…
followed by the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner, which again was held at a great restaurant, No Mas Cantina. It was lively atmosphere and they served some fabulous guac!
Finally wedding day arrived and the weather could not have been more perfect. 72 and sunny. Amazing. We spent the first half of the day at the salon getting dolled up. As someone that doesn’t do hair and makeup (because I don’t really know how), it’s such a treat to have someone do it for me!
The day passed quickly and it was time to help the bride get ready… she was stunning! Seriously… take a look…
And for a little pizazz, she had hand-painted shoes… gotta love Etsy!
The ceremony was beautiful, and after we all danced back down the aisle to Chris Brown’s Forever, the party got started! I didn’t have my camera and the only picture I managed to take was on the southern style food… with Hubbs’ droid… which clearly takes lousy pictures.
However, I loved that they had baked spaghetti squash! It was SO yummy! I also sampled the creamed spinach, baked tomatoes (YUM), salmon, mashed potatoes and tenderloin. But let’s not forget that pretty little martini glass in the upper right-hand corner…
They had a mac ‘n cheese bar! You were handed a martini glass of mac ‘n cheese, then sent down an aisle of toppings… bacon, green onions, diced tomatoes, crumbled bacon, and more… WOW!
The music was jammin’ and we all danced and had a blast. Don’t you just love weddings?
Sunday morning we grabbed brunch with some friends at J Christopher’s before hitting the road. I had to take a picture because it was SO, SO tasty.
Egg white omelet with portabella mushrooms, roasted red peppers, spinach and goat cheese with a side of salsa, homefries and a toasted english muffin. That omelet was amazing… and not greasy, which is hard to find when eating out.
Overall the weekend was non stop fun… and it wore me out!
Tomorrow I’m featuring the best recipe I’ve ever made. Ever. Seriously. It’s a 100% original recipe, so please stop by and check it out.
What was the best thing you ate this weekend??

You look beautiful all dolled up and the food looks fantastic!!! I guess the best thing I ate would be the terriyaki filet medallions I had at Outback last night. We had a G.C. so we took some friends out for dinner. Oh I also fit in a cup of FroYo at my favorite place on Saturday. Have a good week trying to overcome the stumbling. 😉

I’m jealous, I love going to weddings! Seriously, a perfect stranger could invite me to their wedding as a joke, but I’ll show up.
