It’s Friday and as soon as my TV segment is over, I’m mentally clocking out. It’s been a busy week, meaning I haven’t seen much of David and being a single toddler mom that is also 30 weeks prego has me ready for some R&R.
So, in the spirit of keeping things light, let’s chat about things currently going on…
Currently Working On: Freezer meals. I’ve been snapping pictures and writing up posts to have ready to go when baby girl arrives. I hope to do several, but honestly, I’m not sure how many I’ll actually have lined up. My blog plan for what will happen when she arrives is pretty nonexistent, too. I’m hoping to post as I go, when I can, until I find a routine that works with our new normal. Content will most likely be pretty baby-heavy too, but can you blame me?
Also working on a blog redesign to clean things up a little around here! It will include a recipe function overhaul, better formatting for easier reading on phones and tablets and a lot of back-end work from me, but I’m pretty excited! Any suggestions of changes you’d like to see?
Currently Anticipating: The weekend. What an original answer! Not that we have any set plans, but like I mentioned, some R&R sounds fabulous. Maybe head up to the mountains for a day? A girl can hope!
Currently Listening To: Fisher Price Sing Along CDs. Clearly not my first choice, but Hailey is so into all the toddler songs right now, so if you see rollin’ while rocking out to wheels on the bus, don’t hate. Also, the Frozen soundtrack because what little girl isn’t obsessed with Let It Go right now? Who can blame them either- great jam!
Currently Annoyed By: Koda’s snoring. I love that she snuggles up by my feet in the office, but seriously? She sounds like a freight train. She’s lucky she’s cute.
Currently Grateful For: How good I’m feeling. My energy is better now than it was two months ago and sleep is solid. Besides the big belly getting more challenging to maneuver, I feel fantastic.
Currently Reading: Um… blogs? And a hand-me-down Real Simple. You didn’t expect a real book, did you? Haven’t cracked one of those suckers open in a long time! (No, I’m not proud of this, but sadly it is the truth currently)
Currently Staying Active: with lots of walking and Jess’ prentatal workouts. I know I’ve mentioned them before, but I really just love them. They give me some semblance of normal workouts that I can actually feel results with.
Currently Craving: Japanese Steakhouse. I blame my friend I talked to last night while she was driving to one. It’s now officially on the do-with-Hailey-before-baby-arrives list. I want to watch her eyes when they make an onion volcano!
Currently Loving: The big wiggles, kicks and rolls from baby girl. They are strongest when I finally kick my feet up at night and I love watching her stretch out!
Currently Would Love to Travel To: Somewhere warm! Being back on Cooper Island with a Bushwacker in hand sounds pretty nice…
Join in on my Friday fun!
What’s going on with your currently?
And if you only want to answer one…
Where would you want to travel to right this second?
Shari says
Oh, I SO second your “somewhere warm” destination. I have had enough of the record-breaking cold and snow! Maybe Bermuda or the Bahamas? 🙂
Shannon says
RIght this second I’d love to be in Bali. Or Hawaii. Ahhh, the tropical beaches are calling my name!
And your drink in your last photo looks DELICIOUS.
Agreed on begin obsessed with the Frozen Soundtrack too 🙂

Anticipating next week with birthday celebrations, an exciting weekend planned and some shopping.
This weekend is low key, staying inside as it’s going to be below zero for the next 7 days they predict:(
And where would I travel, well, anywhere warm. Probably Arizona or California for some great hiking or stand up paddle boarding.
John J. says
Ready to return to Santorini!
Tori L says
If I could travel to anywhere right now, it’d probably be Disneyland 🙂 And I’m currently re-reading the Harry Potter series, so good!
Parita @ myinnershakti says
Aww…I wish I could be there when H sees the volcano onion for the first time too. That’ll be awesome!
Danielle says
I agree with your someplace warm since we’re expected to get snow this weekend. I’m glad my dog isn’t the only one who snores loudly. He also moves and barks in his sleep. So cute yet so annoying.
Ashley @ My Food N Fitness Diaries says
Currently would love to travel back to Cancun where we went for our honeymoon. Beaches, sunshine, beauty … it’s pretty much perfect.
Hopefully you can get some good R&R and quality time with your family this weekend!
Jen says
I’m so happy it’s Friday, too. These long weeks w/a toddler and being pregnant are exhausting!
I’ll go anywhere warm. Anywhere!
jenn says
Tahiti!
We just went to a Japanese steakhouse last night for the first time with the kids. They were scared of the big fire, my 3yr old ended up liking it after that, my almost 2yr old had to sit on my lap the entire time :-/

This time last year we were in Hawaii and I must admit that I cannot stop envying last year’s me. Ah well, four months until our beach vacation in NC!
Marie says
have you checked out Pioneer Woman’s site for some freezer meals? Excellent ideas there!!
Also, Angela at OSG has an amazing granola bar recipe (it’s the vegan, nut-free recipe she posted in January) that freezes really well. I did a quadruple batch (yes!) and froze them all. So perfect for snacks on the go! I have to admit, I’ve had one (or two!) during the 2am nursing sessions!!
I;m sure you have lots of great freezer ideas too (and the ‘net is full of them), but here’s a couple personal recommendations! 🙂
Katie Harding says
We just got back from St. John’s, I would HIGHLY suggest it, hehe, it was beautiful and the weather was amazing. I think everyone should treat themselves to a week away in the winter!
Nicole says
I would go anywhere warm. It’s like 10 degrees here. So sick of it! Also I haven’t read a book in forever also! Glad you’re feeling good!
Alison @ Daily Moves and Grooves says
Part of me wants to go to the beautiful mountains, but the other (probably more dominant) part of me wants to go to Florida or Puerto Rico…*sigh* 😉
Jess @ Blonde Ponytail says
I love this posts and may just copy your template!! So glad you are feeling well and continuing to stay active!
Elizabeth says
So funny… I’m still craving Japanese steakhouse & am going next weekend! Me & Jared also went to Cooper island on a catamaran while in St. John! I want to go to Jost van Dyke & have a painkiller at the Soggy Dollar!!!!
Avery @ Young Aspirations says
Oh my gosh that picture of the water instantly has me craving summertime! I would go to the Florida Keys or somewhere with gorgeous pale blue water. Mmm. Totally with you on the books – I’ve been reading a couple but not at any sort of a pace. Seriously been in the same chapters for weeks on end.. I’ll be lucky if I finish before the babe gets here!
emma @ be mom strong says
Can’t wait to see the freezer meals! i’ve been needing ideas!
Lauren B. says
We’re leaving for Kauai in a week, but my mind is already there!
Laura @ Mommy Run Fast says
We had a long week too, with my husband working late three nights in a row- it felt like he was traveling! But thankfully, those weeks are rare so we powered through and made it. Hope you’ve had a relaxing weekend!
